Toronto Star’s selective use of “Islam”: Knife wielding jihadi? No. Hijabi athlete? Yes!

David MenziesMission Specialist

Another act of Islamic terrorism on Canadian soil the other day, this one taking place at an Armed Forces recruitment office in Toronto. Accused knifeman Ayanle Hassan Ali tried to make a political point by stabbing a couple of Canadian military personnel.

Fortunately, both victims will make a full recovery. But unfortunately as Ezra Levant noted, we again saw an overwhelming reluctance by both the police and many members of the media to use the I-word and the T-word together.

Self-censorship was applied. The assailant yelled something about “Allah” while carrying out the heinous acts but for the police and media party, “Islam” and “terrorism” make for a no-fly zone even though Islamic terrorism is the most pressing security concern today.

Maybe the Star chose not to focus on an individual’s religion as opposed to the individual himself? Perhaps, but why the glaring double-standard when on the same day they avoided the word “Islam” regarding the attempted double murder, they had no reservations using the word “Islam” in a glowing profile of an athlete in the Sports section.

It was about a female fencer on the U.S. Olympic team headlined: “U.S. Olympian who wears the hijab offers reposte to Trump.”, followed by the sub-head: “Ibtihaj Muhammad, heading to the Rio Games, says ‘ignorant’ presidential candidate is hurting her security at home.”

No examples of Muhammad’s security being hurt were given in the glowing article where the news angle wasn’t that Muhammad had won anything but rather, that she’ll be the first U.S. Olympian to wear a hijab at the games. Clearly a good thing in the Star’s view.

And though it appeared in the Sports section, it was less about fencing and more about the progressive pastime of taking potshots at Donald Trump while denouncing “Islamophobia.”

In the Star’s view, if a Muslim is involved in a crime, even one committed in the name of Islam, mum’s the word. But if a Muslim is on her way to the Olympics wearing the hijab, the Islam card will be played to full effect.

As for that nut-bar brandishing a knife and screaming “Allahu Akbar!”, just ignore that.

We are in the hands of Justin, a Marxist Moron. Our police force has become his Puppets so, calling a spade a spade, our Police should be referred to as the KGB

The MSM follows the Marxist ways of their new boss Justin, so we should refer to them as "The Daily Worker’, that old Communist rag that used to circulate worldwide.

All we read and see, is now under the control of our Marxist, Muslim Government.

Coming soon, Sharia Law.

Looking at his picture I would say that thousands of generations of cousins marrying cousins – islamic
in-breeding – shows up very nicely when I view his ’intelligent" expression in this mug shot.

Before the story was updated, Israel’s Government Press Office on Thursday wrote that “repeated requests” to the news magazine had “been ignored.” The GPO wrote:

TIME Magazine published an article on October 15th, 2015, by TIME correspondent Rebecca Collard, which said: ‘On Tuesday, Allyan, a graphic designer from the predominantly Palestinian neighborhood Jabel Mukaber, was killed by Israeli security forces after allegedly trying to carry out an attack in Jerusalem.’ The article says nothing further on the attack.

The TIME article was published two days after an attack on a civilian bus in Armon Hanatziv, a Jerusalem neighborhood. In this attack, TIME Magazine’s ‘graphic designer’ opened fire on the passengers, killing three Israelis – Alon Gobeberg, Haim Haviv and Richard Lakin – before being shot by police. TIME fails to mention the three deaths, much less the names of the victims. TIME also uses the word “allegedly” and describes the attack as ‘trying to carry out.’

The funerals of two of the Israeli civilians were held before the article was published on Oct. 15 while U.S.-born Lakin, the third fatality in the attack, died about two weeks late

Peter Netterville — I wonder how you would characterize Trump’s language if not hateful and divisive. His campaign has been a circus focused on his personality.

You’re parroting the media party. That’s what the media party does – distorts and destroys for those naive enough to believe their bullshit.

Ok, so Trump is out tomorrow. What’s the alternative? Clinton who murdered those 4 in benghazi? Cruz who appeals to Conservatives only? Some retarded old man ready for a long term care home?

The media party is working to get Clinton elected – not exactly how media should work.

And if in doubt, Canada chose a pot head camp counselor over an economist because “it was time for a change” – the media party played this over and over and stupid Canadians bought it.

Change is what is coming all right – get ready to get bent over and taxed to death. Enjoy.

Jay Kelly….there is no way in Hell in this day and age that I would take my eyes off of a woman…not even to blink my eyes….if she were packing a rapier while wearing a hijab….and that is NOT Donald Trump’s fault.

I do not think the U.S. athlete feels threatened because of Trump’s policies on interest rates. She feels threatened because he uses language of racial stereotypes and suspicion.

Do these twits in the general media think that just because they don’t print it, no one will know what it going on? Wake up you idiots, people can find the truth if they so desire, and it doesn’t take your fake news outlets to make it possible. We have the brains to search for the true news.

Jay said, “Trump uses a lot of divisive and hateful language as part of his rhetoric.”

Well, no, actually he doesn’t. But that certainly is chorus of the left.

Jargon translated (please add to this list if you can think of any)

TARRARUSH GAMEA…………Islam bam thank you mam

Suicide bombing a nightclub on the encouragement of a cleric in JIHAD ISLAMIA…..Islam BAM thank you Imam.

NIQAB……A ninja like face covering which some women prefer to wear…particularly those who know that TARRARUSH GAMEA is no joke…..but that no kuffar slut would ever consider getting in ANY CAB were the driver was wearing one lest she be transported to the nearest TARRARUSH GAMEA tournament and would call UBER as an alternative…..no matter what sort of temper tantrum the ANY CAB driver threw.

HIJAB…..baggy loose fitting attire suitable for concealing a knife that can be used to hiJAB passing Jews in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem…..the fencer mentioned in this article really isn’t making much of a fashion statement when you consider how closely the standard fencing safety gear resembles an Afghani hijab/niqab…..unless it is her way of thumbing her nose at the shameless hussey kuffer sluts she will be competing against. ….I find myself envying their opportunity to give her a jab in the hijab with foil and rapier.

The U.S. athlete has her security threatened when Trump uses or incites language that leads people to be suspicious of her. Trump uses a lot of divisive and hateful language as part of his rhetoric.
In Canada media outlets like the Toronto Star have to be careful not to use language in a way that incites hatred. Not only would they be in legal hot-water, but they would be hurting the innocent.

There has been some suggestion that this individual may be schizophrenic. I stay open to this possibility however it does raise a few questions in my mind. He certainly seemed sane enough to fool airport security checks. It is also raises further questions when we are told Allah told him to do it. Did Allah tell him to target army officers like the other attackers or did Allah specifically give him an address where to find them? In any event there are unanswered questions that need answers.

Censorship and suppression of the truth are symptomatic of dictatorships – may of which deploy a police state repression of public information.

The parallels in Canada are stark and unsettling.

“No examples of Muhammad’s security being hurt were given in the glowing article…”

What David? You were expecting more than bumper sticker slogans in the article? Were you figuring some hard empiricism was going to be given to back up the allegation?

Facts have nothing to do with sunny ways because it is only three months past 2015.
