Trudeau breaks another election promise — this time on bilingualism

Brian LilleyRebel Co-Founder

Yet another broken promise from Trudeau, this time on bilingualism.

I’m not all that upset about it though because I thought it was a bad idea, as I explained at the time.

But, we shouldn’t forget that this was one of his key promises during the election. Now if only he would admit he was wrong about making this promise and just admit that it wasn’t about principle but only about electoral politics and trying to get votes.

The problem with having every position bilingual is that it weeds out other posable candidates.
I worked at Parlement for 17 years under contract but when a full time position came up, I couldn’t get a chance to apply as I wasn’t a level B in French. I met all other requirements and in most places I exceeded them but the language Is what kept ,e from the job and I was out of work for 2 years for it. Now I’m making much less money doing something out of my career.

Quite frankly – and I admit I have some froggy friends – but very few and I am slowly weeding them out – if kebec and the froggies are concerned about bi-lang bullschitte want to leave – open the door and help them.

The gay boy is a froggie and a worthless one at that

If they want to stay in Canada it is time to learn to speak the international ;language of aviation, law, business, commerce and more

The french language is a dead language – being held on to in kebec by a bunch of people who are afraid to lose their federal welfare benefits.

But that goose might be dead as Alberta is being raped and kebec does not give a damn – in fact few froggies give a damn what happens outside the kebec borders unless it might cut off the cash flow from the Anglo’s.

Time to stop hiring anyone who speaks froggie west of Ottawa.

Too late to try and get a job on eastern Canada – the froggies have that all sewed up – and they want start moving west.

Boot kebec – and boot any froggy politicians.

Sooner the better.

And be sure to kick the gay boy in the teeth – he is one of the worst froggies out there.

I guess Brian Lilley did not have time to prepare a story. He headlines it “Trudeau Breaks another promise” and then goes on to show the promise that all Supreme Court Justices be bilingual.
But Georges Furey was named speaker of the senate.
Lilley needs some research or production help so he can complete his stories.

he sounds a lot like his dad who jammed the french thing down our throats to begin with… all I heard him say was interference, everyone speak french, bothersome, everyone speak french, I just want everyone to speak French to make daddy proud.

Turdeau is trying for a record – in the first hundred days I’ll break a hundred promises.

Brian: I hope you have a list of these campaign brags or unicorn rainbow musings or whatever they are , “promises” you call them – just pencil strike through them as reality meets child-like idealism and the promises go up in smoke.

Then start a list of all the major Librano agendas which were hidden from us at election time which were NOT spoken of (there by are unratified by the electorate). That will prove more damaging. Wally Butts runs this regime and radical leftism will show its iron fist soon enough. Emperor Justinian the questionable is just the face-boy this radical cabal sticks out front to obscure/sell their unpalatable draconian control agenda – The naked emperor will soon be frayed and tattered from catching all the flack as one after another of these “fairness policies” melt away as another Librano power brokerage exchange is erected by Justinian’s backroom fixers.

Keep on Bustin’ Justin!

found this comment on yahoo thought i would share it, it speaks volumes and is 100% correct
My only loyalty is to English Canada, the old majority, the most neglected group in what’s left of our country that has become officially divided for the soul sake of never ending political manipulation. I am NOT loyal to Quebec, the Indians, bilingualism, multiculturalism, immigrants or politicians and especially not to Muslims. To all those that want to call me racist, go soak your heads. Political correctness is for corrupt politicians and sissies, double standards are for second class citizens. I want some of that old Canada back, this new one is rotten.

Oooops! Sorry for the typo. In a comment yesterday, I mentioned that I doubted J T would implement all 24 recommendations of the Truth and Reconciliation Committee. It was 94 recommendations. Here’s what the 94th says:
We call upon the Government of Canada to replace the Oath of Citizenship with the following:
I swear (or affirm) that I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Queen of Canada, Her Heirs and Successors, and that I will faithfully observe the laws of Canada including Treaties with Indigenous Peoples, and fulfill my duties as a Canadian citizen

Thanks everybody for calling english speaking people (58% vs 22% french) stupid

So Justie feels that Supreme Court judges must be able to speak French, so they can converse with other judges in French. Why not have all judges be able to converse in English? It seems to me that he is pushing our country into unilingualism – the French language!

Before the election Trudeau claimed that the best politicians come from Quebec and they should run the country. Requiring strictly bilingual persons this biased, irrational, incompetent, excuse for a human being is trying to raise the power of Quebec in the country since the majority of bilingual people exist in that province – out of rational necessity.

If we are to require bilingualism as a means of getting ahead in the business world in North america, it would be more rational, not something we can expect from the likes of JT or any of the left, to make that second language requirement Spanish!

MICHAEL VAN STEINBURG i will second you on that motion, though notley i think is worse, she is the poster girl for incompetence.

In the clips about the Supreme Court he suggests that reverting to English wasn’t an option – that simultaneous translators weren’t effective. So it is OK to be all in French though. French indignation and the false sense of entitlement show us that bilingualism is NOT THE GOAL – that conversing in French is the goal. LEARN FRENCH – that is the clip that stands out – we must ALL LEARN FRENCH! That is the goal of Official Languages and THAT my friends is LANGUAGE APARTHEID!!! Official Language Apartheid – OLA. This is a Republic, not a democracy folks! This is the French Revolution and all people do is bitch about it online.

No intelligent Canadian could seriously disagree with the idea of promoting bilingualism in Canada by education and persuasion. For the advantages of being able to speak more than one language cannot be denied. What everyone does object to is bilingualism by coercion. What clearer evidence could there be of this than the resistance to bilingualism that is developing in English-speaking Canada?

Coercion of any kind engenders resistance and bad blood. And it is the coercion being applied by the Prime Minister, with its suspected sinister and unrealistic objective, that Lt. Cdr. Andrew feels may plunge Canada into civil war. I share his concern.

1:50 It sounds like he thinks one can have two mother tongues. As much as I sympathize with smaller groups in a conversation having to bend to a common langue (or use translation), it’s hardly an argument for bilingualism. I really don’t see how it (bilingualism) would solve this “sitting around discussing cases” argument of his. All bilingual or not, some in the group would still NOT be listening to their mother tongue.

MICHAEL VAN STEINBURG commented 3 hours ago – yes, I too cheered when Pierre Trudeau died – Canada’s adolf hitler.

Quebec’s french is a dialect french.

If you speak this form of dialect french in Europe or any other Franco country around the world, they will not understand you.

Quebec’s french is for the rubes of France.

I have a better slogan than “the other side of the story.”

How about, “here at the rebel, we celebrate when the liberals break a promise.”
commented 2015-12-05 00:48:59 -0500
So the supreme court judges have to be bilingual because some of the other supreme court judges don’t understand english?
commented 2015-12-05 00:13:29 -0500
Given that Justin feels that only Quebecers are qualified to run the country, it makes sense that all the supreme judges should be québécois. Pass the poutine……merci.

wow, he seems oblivious to breaking a promise he first made a big fuss like as if he is a LIAR . Is that classic “lack of integrity” or what would you call it ? I mean I don’t mind if the “speaker of the senate” is not a french fluent but it is a mystery why Trudeau would insist on something and break his own promise. Maybe he realizes his policy is MENTAL ?
commented 2015-12-04 21:53:17 -0500
That is for sure – I missed that issue during the election – that in its’ self should have done him in right there!
Do you know with all the good intelligent leaders’ we have out west – sneakily Trudeau found a way to exclude them from being able to contribute to the betterment of Canada and of course, he set it up so the East would have a chance to be a power house forever in Canada! No good it is either all of us or none of us!
commented 2015-12-04 20:44:13 -0500
Why am I not surprised? Does anyone remember when Jean Chretien promised to abrogate the Free Trade Agreement and scrap the GST? I would never trust a liberal. And here we have Junior doing it again. Do we really think he’ll fulfill all 24 recommendations of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission? I doubt he even knew what they were when he said that. He simply opens his mouth and blabs!
