Funding for the construction of the southwest part of Calgary’s ring road was confirmed in a joint announcement by Justin Trudeau, Rachel Notley and Naheed Nenshi last week.
Trudeau and Notley took credit for pushing the project through, even though the Conservative government announced funding for the new construction over a year ago.
I stopped by Michelle Rempel’s Stampede breakfast over the weekend and asked her about the federal and provincial governments cashing in on that announcement.
She says she’s most concerned about the Liberals not coming through on election promises, and spoke to overspending, such as Amarjeet Sohi’s $835,000 tab for renovating his ministry office.
Liberals and the NDP are all about recycling. I guess they feel the same way about recycling announcements for the purpose of political posturing, too.
