After much controversy over having two taxpayer-funded nannies costing over $100K a year, Justin Trudeau and his wife have let go of just one.
Marilou Trayvilla, the nanny will be let go on July 1 according to reports. However, the other nanny remains part of the residence staff and will continue to be pay for by taxpayers.
While the Trudeaus will be hiring a new nanny and paying for her themselves, it's uncertain why Trayvilla wasn't simply rehired.
When news of the taxpayer-funded nannies first broke, The Rebel set up a petition calling on Trudeau to pay for his own nannies.
If you think both nannies should be paid for by Trudeau himself, and haven't signed the petition yet, you can do so here.
