UMass bans #Harambe memes: They’re “micro-aggressions” against African students

Rebel Staff

You have to check out this insane reasoning.

Resident Assistants at the University of Massachusetts going by Ryan and Colleen are considering pro-Harambe memes and slogans such as “Dicks out for Harambe” will be considered micro-aggressions and racist attacks.

They go on to explain in a written statement that one of the floors in a “defined residential community” is called the 'Harambe floor' and how 'Harambe' is a Swahili word standing for “the point where people pull together.”

It continues to ask students to be careful of “what gets written on your whiteboard”. They also actively encourage alerting them if someone has the audacity to not follow their outrageous protocol.

The note goes on to add that “phrases/hashtags which encourage the exposition of body parts” could be reported as a Title IX investigation for sexual harassment. This is a direct reference to the popular phrase “Dicks out for Harambe”.

“Watch out for any of these phrases,” the letter concludes. “We need to be sure to respect all UMass community members.”

Lets hope the students don't give into these ridiculous demands. After all these RAs are acting no better than the Cincinnati Zoo.

Creating silly nonsense memes about an African Silverback Gorilla that affects or represents people in no way whatsoever…
Racist
Why?
Because,
Realizing that the Gorilla, is and was always, actually the metaphorical representation of a black man…
Not Rasict

It’s just common sense!

It seems to me the protesters are associating the meme to Africans. Very odd people.

The real world seems to be getting crazier all the time. These nuts will fit right in. It’s the normal people that can’t make sense of the insanity, because its insanity that these younger generations are being fed. Many of us grew up when the world made sense. Now the insane are running the asylum, and this is how they are doing it, by screwing with the minds of the young.

Universities today are breeding grounds for stupidity, political correctness and activism. Can be dangerous for young people without any life experience, easily influenced and gullible. I know they think they are just the ‘smartest people ever’, because they are in university….but, we all know they are far from it so these groups can influence young minds easily.
