University diversity officer bans white people from event, claims minority women can't be racist or sexist

Rebel Staff

What's the opposite of diversity again? Oh yes, university.

The insanity at university campuses continues. A diversity officer at Goldsmith University is on the defensive after banning white people from an event.

Bahar Mustafa planned an event awhile back to diversify the curriculum – by banning white people.

According to The Daily Caller, Mustafa said “If you’ve been invited and you’re a man and/or white PLEASE DON’T COME just cos I invited a bunch of people and hope you will be responsible enough to respect this is a BME [Black and Minority Ethnic] Women and non-binary event only.”

She then posted a picture of herself next to a poster that reads “No white-cis-men pls” with 'tears' dripping into a cup labeled 'male tears'.

Now, Mustafa is claiming that she is incapable of racism.

In a video posted to YouTube, Mustafa is refuting claims that she's racist and sexist.

“There have been charges laid against me that I am racist and sexist towards white men. I, an ethnic minority woman, cannot be racist or sexist towards white men, because racism and sexism describe structures of privilege based on race and gender, and therefore women of color and minority genders cannot be racist or sexist, since we do not stand to benefit from such a system.”

Perhaps most concerning is what followed: “Reverse racism and sexism are not real,” she added.

She's right though. Reverse racism and sexism are not real. Because it's racism and sexism. There's no 'reverse' about it.

Do you agree that Bahar Mustafa is a racist and a sexist? Sound off in the comments.

She actually furthers the cause of racism, sexism by saying diversity must exclude others. Huh? what the hell am I missing?

This woman is not using reasoning or logic. She is just “spinning” words to her advantage. She cannot see how absurd she sounds.

Juy, excellent post.

Bravo Zulu, in 2003, an executive at the Canadian Centre for Victims of Torture, funded by taxpayers, told me they will not treat white peole because, by definition, white peole cannot be tortured. I tried to get their executive to repeat that in writing but their lawyers wouldn’t allow it.

Can you imagine anything more prejudiced than that?

How funny!

The diversity officer name says it all.

And as for the “people of colour” – I guess in this day and age white is no longer a colour.

Too funny indeed.

Here is how it goes in entitled parts of Canada:

In order to be racist you need to be white. All other cultures can simply claim victim status.

Racism is the belief in the superiority of a particular ethnic group…but the right to assemble is a different issue…Are these people saying one ‘race’ is superior to another or are they just asking for the right to assemble with whomsoever they wish? Excluding a group by appearance can be as innocuous as having a 5year old’s birthday party…and since when is there more than ONE human RACE?

@ Lance…is very much like this woman. He is an example of sexism and yet I say to him, thanks to all the men you mention who single-handedly invented everything in the world while women stood back and watched and did nothing…Oh yeah! I forgot! Women, in general, were essentially property, judged only by their beauty, not much more than slaves, until the last century (but I’ll bet most of those inventions you mention were actually the ideas of women, though…like the toilet)…but you can thank “Scientist and inventor Katharine Blodgett who was educated at Bryn Mawr College and the University of Chicago. She …was the first woman to receive a Ph.D in physics at England’s Cambridge University and the first woman hired by General Electric. During World War II, Blodgett contributed important research to military needs like gas masks, smoke screens and a new technique for de-icing airplane wings. Her work in chemistry, specifically in surfaces at the molecular level, resulted in her most influential invention: non-reflective glass. Her “invisible” glass was initially used for lenses in cameras and movie projectors; it also had military applications such as wartime submarine periscopes. Today, non-reflective glass is still essential for eyeglasses, car windshields and computer screens.” …not bad for the first woman ALLOWED to get a PhD at Cambridge…finally in the 20th century.

Yes Lance, JUST CONSIDER WHAT A LOSS TO OUR SOCIETY THAT THE CULTURE OF MALE CONTROL HAS PERPETRATED…all those brilliant but benighted women who could have improved our way of life if only they had been allowed an education and men had taken their boots off their necks. The female brain is finally becoming liberated…

You can’t make this stuff up.

Too stupid to be racist or sexist. The product of inbred affirmative action.

Goldsmith is in shariah-ruled London UK; what do you expect?

Didn’t white men free her from her own misogynist South Asian, culture? If we didn’t set up schools and educate them, young women, would continue to be held hostage, by the mother-in-law, as a baby factory, dish washing domestic slave, never leaving the house. And only a couple of decades later, once allowed to further their studies in the West, they ungratefully attack us, and even want our demise. Maybe the South Asian rape culture knew better, and now so do I.

Crock! Pathetic.
Even if she might not, most of the people in that room will move on to a more rational and balanced view, its university after all.

Stupid…of course she’s racist..

With logic like that, she’s right. She’s not racist or sexist, she’s just fucking stupid.

Are White Men not a Minority? If approximately 50% of people are men and white people are less than 50% of all people, then white men are less than 25% of people.
How is she ethnic? She doesn’t look ethnic, but what do I know I am a white male. :-|

It seems Ron Zager cannot distinguish between conservatism and white supremacy. The issue here is whether non-whites can discriminate (answer is yes) – not whether whites will be in the minority or not. This is not a neo-Nazi website.
commented 2015-05-13 23:49:57 -0400
Like most posters here, I find the vapidity of the speaker both sad and hilarious at the same time. However I do want to state that I do not buy the idea Ron Zager is trying to push that WW3will be a racial war between whites and non-whites. It is far more likely to be a war based on religion than anything else (with one in conflict with most others). His use of South Africa to back his POV is probably the most absurd he could have used given its Apartheid past (Whites were not the victims in South Africa under any reasonable measure).

Any Learning institution which allows this psychotic elitism should be defunded an certainly taken off the A list – what a disgusting display of unhinged thinking.

While I agree with other commenters that we should take funding away from Cdn Uni’s that engage in similar racism and sexism, it’s worth noting that this Uni is in Britain, not Canada, as some commenters seem to imply. The End of Men, the Rise of Women, is a disgusting book, as one might expect, but even that super man-hater super-radical feminist admits that if it weren’t for men women would be nowhere. In fact, they wouldn’t have any rights at all. It wasn’t women that created the Bill of Rights (now the Charter, previously the Magna Carta), it was men. It wasn’t female judges that upheld women’s rights in court, it was male judges. It wasn’t women that built those court houses for them to saunter into in their high heels, it was men. In fact, every form of mass communication from the carrier pigeon to the telegraph, to the telephone to the printing press, to the fax machine, to the computer to the smart phone – all men! Every form of mass transportation, from taming the horse to the canoe to the sail boat, to the steam engine (trains and boats), to the gas engine and the car, high speed trains, planes etc – all men. Democracy, human rights, all our freedoms, – all men. The automated loom – allowing us to cloth almost 6 Bilion ppl. Electricity, indoor plumbing – all men. I could go on, you get the idea. If these feminists stopped using everything built, or invented by men, they’d be standing in the mouth of the cave buck naked!!

Why Nations Fail is a great book, and explains that once you start an institution, like the Magna Carta, it spreads and speeds up. So where it took, men 1,000 yrs to gain full rights, it only took women about 125, and gays, about 25. Because it took women longer, they think men oppressed them, when in fact, what they did, was blazed the trail and made rights for others possible!!

No WHITE people and no men. Not that I like the UN, but they pretty much nail it:
According to the United Nations Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination, the term “racial discrimination” shall mean any distinction, exclusion, restriction, or preference based on race, colour, descent, or national or ethnic origin that has the purpose or effect of nullifying or impairing the recognition, enjoyment or exercise, on an equal footing, of human rights and fundamental freedoms in the political, economic, social, cultural or any other field of public life.

And excluding men, well that one’s a no brainer. The “male tears” bit indicates she’s likely even a misandrist.

Thanks for the laugh, Ron Voss. (I mean that, sincerely!) “The more attributes you have closer to the center of the web [of oppression], the more you are characterized as an ‘oppressor’, regardless of what you say or do.”

This means that the majority of “professors” (white, anglo-saxon males) in any given “university” are oppressors! What hypocrisy, right in the middle of the University! Do they even realize this? Hilarious!

PETER NETTERVILLE, yes, common sense would dictate that, “Racism can be practiced by anyone as it is an attitude of how one treats others. Your actual situation and station in life is irrelevant”. Not according to what is taught by the left wing professors in universities these days, namely, the supposed “Web of Oppression”, which undergirds the contemporary thrust of social policies among ‘progressives’:
The more attributes you have closer to the center of the web, the more you are characterized as an ‘oppressor’ regardless of what you say and do.

The MSM have been telling Canadians for years that whites are racist. As this country continues to change with immigration it won’t matter anymore as within 50 years whites will be in the minority in this country. Nothing can be done to reverse this from happening. Within 20 years the aging white baby boomers will be gone. We are now in a new wave of immigration from the Third World that will rival the influx of Europeans during the early 20th century. Being a minority and white in a socialist paradise isn’t much fun folks. Hopefully your grandchildren will adopt well to what is coming.

I’m sorry, but I had to stop watching the video half way through. When someone is spouting pure rubbish, there’s no point to be made by hearing them out or trying to engage in dialog. Just let them continue with their diatribe and walk away. She has the right to her views and the right to express those views. I also have the right to ignore her.
commented 2015-05-13 16:27:48 -0400
What is surprising about this? Our so called “human rights commissions” have exactly the same policies so why wouldn’t a university? If you want to change this try to get a legal precedent against the human rights commissions first…and good luck with that.
commented 2015-05-13 16:09:16 -0400
Basing the act of racism on something that only the privileged can do is a completely false premise.

Racism can be practiced by anyone as it is an attitude of how one treats others. Your actual situation and station in life is irrelevant.

Racism is Racism no matter where it is directed. Stop subidizing Universities. Leftist Administrations and Professors are teaching and promoting intolerance and segregating society into definable components with which to impose Socialist Doctrine upon. Higher learning? No. This is dragging everything down to the lowest common denominator in order to control. Universities used to be the creme de la creme of our society producing the bright ambitous personages, whether in business or beyond to move society forward. Not any more.. It’s all sliding backwards now…..

@mary LOU AMBROGIO That just shows the hypocrisy of the left wing.

Universities are a bastion and breeding ground of left wing activism. This is likely where future leaders will come from. I fear for the future of my children and grandchildren.

Why is that white woman making a black woman hold her microphone?

Remember Eddie Rickenbacher in his memoires suggested that WW111 will be a race war with the remaining whites against the rest. This is already happening in South Africa and goes unreported by the honest, truthful and fair CBC.

We need to take public funding away from universities. If they want to be racist, then we should be able to stop funding this garbage!
