UPDATE on the Christian group fighting a Toronto concert ban

Faith GoldyRebel Host

Lawyer John Carpay from the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms updates us on a story we've been following: A Christian group that's been denied a permit to hold a concert in Toronto's Yonge & Dundas Square.

Toronto bureaucrats claim the singing group performing during The Voice of the Nations' event is "proselytizing" through its song lyrics, and this activity is not permitted on city property.

However, other faith groups preach on and around the Square every day.

Carpay says this ban violates The Voice of the Nations' Charter Rights.

He and I talk about whether or not this situation is more proof of a growing anti-Christian attitude in Canada and the West.

TheRebel.media's readers and viewers have generously donated to the group's legal fund.

DEBORAH GRAUPNER ,
You do have a point, In did not consider the fact the God Knows Exactly what is going on.
I do not believe he will let Islam take over the world.
Thank you Deborah for helping me.

Take good care.

Laurie atheists are not any better, in fact they kill more than religious people do. Name me any religious person who has killed as many as MAO.

I know the day is coming when we will put these gods behind us like all the others that came before them and the world will be a better place for it. People are starting to question these superstitions openly, the tipping point will come. Young people are starting to see the emperor’s new clothes that these bronze age religions are. My great hope is that it happens sooner rather than later. They’ve done enough damage already.

By the way…who needs permission to sing in a “public” square and since when did we or any prophet or Jesus ask or need permission to speak?
Why is this a problem…JUST DO IT. That is what all street preachers have done for centuries…even the young females, “Hallelujah Lassies”, did it in the 19th century all over the world…you just have to be ready to take the consequences and trust in God to make what He wants of it. There’s no God like Jehovah and His glory He will not give to another! As Peter and all the apostles said, “We must obey God rather than men!”

If God has called you to do this…that is all you need to know.

Peaceful, verbally expressed opinions are now considered proselytizing BUT slitting people’s throats, burning them alive, etc., and filming this for use on Canadian public television ‘news’ to terrorize the Canadian people and browbeat them into succumbing to Islamic demands, in order to force our conversion, is not? I also wonder if, in light of the Muslim terrorists’ serial advertising of their delight in our murder, (and even suicide in order to murder) any government’s insistence that Islam is no danger to us all, is less than outright proselytizing on behalf of Islam at taxpayer’s expense?

Since when is an “opinion” proselytizing?

Lance – you obviously are not a Christian, or you would know that Jesus won the battle already. He just wants as many people as possible to be saved, for when he returns to retrieve his church, and then this world is on course for destruction.

With a first name like Faith, you would probably agree with this: we have the right to promote our Christian values and beliefs. That is our constitution and Charter of Rights. I believe we should be able to freely proselytize in public, any public, anywhere, anytime. We cannot let the city and federal bullies rule. Canada is a nation without leadership, and our large cities are falling as well. Wrong to express your beliefs in public? Public means “we own this space”! Even the Bible says that this is a reverse of good morals… read Isaiah 5:20, folks.

This should come as no shock to any rational thinking free individual. The decades of bureaucratic bloat were not an accident. We are now seeing the end goal of creating massive unionized bureaucracy, the usurping of democracy and free society. We now live in a country were voting is a pointless exercise and ‘elected representatives’ are merely talking suits. un-elected extreme leftist unionized bureaucrats control our country.

Freedom of speech (as long as you say the right things). Freedom of religion (as long as it’s the right religion). Or as George Orwell said it best (paraphrasing): “Everyone is equal, but some are more equal than others”.

I have always had difficulty understanding why anyone would have a problem with what someone else believes so long as that person is not violent.

Christians and Real Canadians are fast becoming a minority. We need to raise our voices and speak out against the morons who are dragging us back to the dark ages.

Getting rid of idiots like Notley, Wynne and Trudeau, would be a good start. People like these are creating a state of disorder and confusion.the better to control us.

There are many peaceful religions in Canada and if any of these should become a majority, that is fine, they will not wish to destroy Christians.

Our biggest danger is from the political platform called Islam, that insidious organization that likes to call it’s self a religion. Do not be fooled by Islam, it has only one agenda and that is to eliminate all those who do not believe in it.
