"Here's my message to the bloviating jackasses outside: Toughen up, you spoiled brat snowflakes, if you actually want a better world."
That was a defiant Ben Shapiro's response to those who tried unsuccessfully to cancel then disrupt his speech at CalState yesterday.
The Daily Wire reports that its editor-in-chief, Ben Shapiro "spoke at California State University, Los Angeles on Thursday despite threats issued to him and students organizing the event, blockading protesters, and an initial cancellation by President William Covino—only overturned last minute to save face, and perhaps some legal troubles."
Shapiro, never one to back down, issued a blunt message directly to those actively shutting down freedoms guaranteed to all via the First Amendment: "F*ck your fascism.” (...)
Attendees and journalists were reportedly physically assaulted. One attendee claimed to have anti-Semitic slurs hurled his way when he took a call from a friend in Israel. Students lucky enough to attend had to be smuggled in four at a time through a back door. The fire alarm was also pulled during the speech in effort to shutdown the event.
