WATCH: Andrew Sheer mocks Liberals on electoral reform — #Referendum?

Brian LilleyRebel Co-Founder

The Liberals continue to refuse to hold a referendum on the issue of changing our electoral system, calling instead for consultations with Canadians including via Twitter.

The Conservatives are not letting up in calling for giving Canadian voters the final say in any changes to the voting system and spent Monday in Question Period hammering the Liberals.

Watch as Andrew Scheer uses humour and a good dose of mocking to make his point.

Richard Neufeld said: “I still have not heard a coherent argument from the Liberals as to how our current system is not appropriate for this nation. What are the problem(s) that they want to address? Is the voting system the source of the problem or the solution, or is it something else such as the Party Leader having to sign your nomination forms and declining to do so if you don’t behave like a trained seal? The Liberals should answer this in a manner other than stating that it is not 21 Century.”

Simply put, the Liebranos have determined the “problem” with the current system is they can be tossed from power which is what happened for almost ten years. They desire to rig the system so that they remain in power indefinitely!

We need to start the “Anybody but” campaign now. If they force this crappy system on us I will vote Conservative and Libertarian.

I like Sheer. He always takes the Liberals to task. He is like a dog with a bone. That is exactly what we need, not some pansy conservative remake who is really a liberal in disguise.

Maurice said,“I don’t believe there is ANY CHANCE IN HELL that a change in the voting system, without a referendum, or all ten provinces and the territories on board, will stand without being challenged as unconstitutional all the way up to the Supreme Court of Canada. How the Supreme Court will decide is anybody’s guess.”

That’s when, if necessary, we get someone with some gonads to push the use of the notwithstanding clause and make sure Parliament has the final word. This is an issue crucial to the survival of a three party system. Do we want Trudeau the dictator in power indefinitely like the Castro’s? Pierre wasn’t down there just for the weather.

Anything, but determining the absolute will of the people, they’ve already made their minds up. This is all glitter, and not all that glitters is gold.

Holland says they were going to modernize the system and bring it into the 21st century.
What I heard was electronics in the balloting and counting…
I will refuse to participate in any election using electronics and will shut down my polling station in protest!

I would like to think we have enough checks and balances to counter this tyranny , but these days, who the hell knows?

Notice that the Minister herself was not available during question period today. Even though, as we know, it is 2016, she wasn’t performing very well, so they got a white man to take over and deal with the hard questions.

Monsef doesn’t make minorities or women look particularly competent when she stands to answer a question (and, by coincidence, her answers almost always make reference to women and minorities). Wonder how long they’ll be able keep her out of the House to avoid further screw-ups?

Presumably, the Senate will demonstrate its utility and reject any electoral change that doesn’t start with a referendum that wins a ⅔rds super-majority of support, as all Constitutional changes should have.

They don’t want a referendum because they KNOW they will lose! They keep telling us that TruDOPE is more popular than ever……OK, let’s put it to the vote you chicken shit and see what happens.

My prediction; The SCOC having shown its Lieberal Colors with the last Gov’t will not deny the Liebranos anything they desire! IMO!

Liebranos don’t care, so hell bent are they on creating a one party dictatorship in Canada.

When Holland asked to help change the status quo, I think he meant the status quo that allowed a conservative type party to hold power 19 of the past 32 years since Papa Doc. And gave a shot at power for the NDP over Baby Doc.

The Liberals need a change in the status quo so that there is no interruption in #Corruption.

Her Majesties Loyal Opposition is the only hope Canadians have remaining. Our country has become a joke, internally and internationally.

I encourage members to hold ‘town halls’. Most likely as defined by SD76 in Medicine Hat.

Makes one wonder whether Canada is now a single party system again.

If these librano shitbags put this through, it should end up in the SCOC – that should be the tell as to whether the CPC is the real deal or just librano-light.
