Member of Merkel's party reads controversial poem about Erdogan in PARLIAMENT -- for this idiotic reason

Victor LaszloRebel Commentator

Even when you condemn freedom of speech, you still need freedom of speech to demonstrate exactly what people shouldn't be allowed to say!

This video was shot in the German Parliament on May 12, 2016 where Detlef Seif, member of Angela Merkel's Christian Democrats, read aloud the entire controversial "Böhmermann poem" about Turkish President Erdogan -- in order to show why no one should be allowed to read the whole Böhmermann poem"!

When this poem was originally broadcast on a German satire program, Ergogan called for the author to be prosecuted -- and Merkel's government agreed.  Please see this earlier story on The Rebel for all the details.

Erdogan won't likely care that this poem was read in order to illustrate how offensive Erdogan would find this poem. In fact, the fact that it was read at all, let alone in the German Parliament, will likely bring on another tirade and law suit from the Turkish president any minute now.

One might guess that this particular member of parliament has not seen this scene from Monty Python's "Life of Brian":

These German Politicians and the people have no idea that their prosperous country is on its last legs. With the UK and other countries leaving the EU, Germany will be stuck with 2 million unruly refugees, most of which have little hope of working. Then there will be millions of N. African Muslims knocking on their door.
Great Plan Merkel; get ready to pay for its failure.
