One mother confronted Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne at the Chateau Laurier in Ottawa after her son had his government-paid therapy cut off.
Autism Alliance representative Rhonda Allenby-Glass was eventually granted a 20-minute meeting.
Rhonda explains how she even considered moving out of the province and even remortgaging her house because her son could no longer access the 'only effective treatment' due to the fact he's six-years-old.
Government cuts prevented kids five and older from receiving the treatment they need.
She explains how children who are older than five begin to speak if they continue the therapy.
“I really... really want to hear my son, more than anything, say, 'I love you mom'. I don't think this is too much to ask.”
