WATCH: Notley NDP guilty of arrogance, not ignorance in “self made mess” with power companies

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Commentator

The NDP are claiming they just didn’t know there was a clause in Alberta's electricity retailer contracts that allow them to dump contracts if the government makes changes to legislation that renders those contracts unprofitable

These contracts, called Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), have been part of the electricity landscape in Alberta for 16 years.

Deputy Premier, Sarah Hoffman, has called the regulation that allows the PPAs to be dumped “secret”. But was it really?

Watch my video to see just a few of the many times Rachel Notley and her cabinet were warned about the problem with the PPAs.

The NDP are claiming ignorance as a defence to their self made mess with the PPAs. They really should be claiming arrogance instead.

Ignorance is not an excuse, as Notley and staff have a Fiduciary Duty, a Duty of Care, and therefor “ought to have known”. Breaching those clauses at huge cost to taxpayers with no discernible benefit is a Breach of Trust, (battling climate change won’t fly, as all of Canada is only responsible for 1.5% of global emissions, and she won’t have any stats to prove a benefit anyways, unless they’re falsified, and you can get her on that too). Spending millions on advertising she wouldn’t have to had she not done the wrong thing in the first place is a 2nd charge Breach of Trust. So with this in mind, who out there wants to file a private charges against her for Breach of Trust? Now’s you’re chance!

Maybe you should do it Sheila. It would raise the Rebel brand to national conscience and sales of your book.

Ignorance is bliss, eh, Notley. This female is has a very convenient Blind Eye. She would look better if she had a hole in the head, to leak out some of the empty space.

this NDP wanted to do Wynne style of destroying places! NO! Albertans are different from the Ontario’s foolishness in swallowing what Wynne’s corrupt leadership! So Nutley just do good for Albertans and someday you will regret all of this things you have done in Alberta! This is the last province that NDP exist so don’t be a fool!

Charles Moulton – And it will only get better if we make it to another election.

Good segment SGR.

Don’t you just want to cross check this Notley pig in the face – more than once???

I had to leave my beautiful province this week. Not because I wanted to.
Not because I had another job.

I had to leave because, I haven’t worked in my own beautiful province since March and I didn’t work all my life to just keep giving to these fucking NDPiggs.

Sorry other true Albertans, but it is going to get worse before it gets better.

This is just the beginning of the Nutly’s power disaster. Judging by the near endless, well documented story’s of massive failure of the alternative energy scams from around the world where ever they’ve it. Skyrocketing power rates, power shortages, destabilized grids, crushing business costs and job losses.

There is a famous statement regard the law…..what was it. Something like “Ignorance is no Excuse.”
I guess it is when it comes to our ‘betters.’

This was all about making a “statement”. A green ‘anti-previous government statement’.

Notley and Hoffman were so anxious to prove to all her supporters that they are all about renewables they set out to shut down coal fired plants, without first doing their due diligence. This idea proves the lack of business awareness and knowledge Notley and her advisors share. They are clouded by Leap ideology syndrome. Although she declares not to support Leap. Her actions prove otherwise.
Also. As much as a new government may disagree with the previous, once the new takes over the helm, they are responsible to ensure current agreements and contracts are upheld. (At the very least attempt to renegotiate previously made agreements if they are unhappy with them.)

The NDP and the Board of Education suffer from the same problem. They claim they ‘hear’ concerns, but then continue on as if no one brought any concerns forward. You are right, arrogance and pride are the problem. They think they are better than everyone else. They will sit and listen when forced to, but then their eyes glaze over, and they think about the Soviet revolution, and then come back with “we will consider that in our decision.” Having no idea what was actually said.

Other point. Should not this major blunder be attributed to the invisible energy minister, who should know and understand energy contracts with the province. After all, that is her job theoretically. It is this lack of oversight by the minister responsible that has led to a multibillion error to the tax payer.

She should resign on her own, if she has integrity. Otherwise, she should be asked for her resignation by Notley if the minister briefly becomes visible. I note that Mr. Jean actually made a rare sighting during that clip.

Another one that pointed out the clause quite vehemently was Nenshi, who will also be quite the antagonist if the Non-Democratic Party moves to re-regulate power and energy. This because his leftist policies partially rely upon the proceeds of the energy company owned by the city of Calgary.

Ah…the left arguing with its reflection…at least we get entertainment while Alberta spirals to oblivion.

Here we go again. Giving businesses another reason not to invest in Alberta.

I can see Hoffman and Notley not knowing this coming from the union goon camp.
