WATCH: Notley's pick to jump-start Alberta's economy said we should "slow down the tar-sands" to create jobs

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Commentator

Let’s meet Deron Bilous, Alberta’s brand new minister of the brand new Ministry of Economic Diversification and Trade.

Thursday, Rachel Notley shuffled her cabinet. This is a cabinet that has yet to sit a session in the legislature.
Their single greatest accomplishment to date has been deciding to give unelected senior bureaucrats a raise and then backing off when Albertans caught wind of it. Poor things. They’re probably exhausted from campaigning for Thomas Mulcair and need a change. But, within that shuffle a new ministry was created: Economic Diversification and Trade. Sounds good, right? Wrong.

Notley appointed Edmonton New Democrat MLA Deron Bilous to head up this new ministry. Deron doesn’t like the oilpatch and he doesn’t understand how our economy works. How do I know? I listened to him say it in his own words. He wants no new oilsands projects. He wants us to raise royalties. He wants us all to re-educate for the green economy ahead. No thanks, Deron.

Deron Bilous is not the right person to jumpstart our economy. He is, on the other hand, exactly the right person to implement Notley’s anti oil, anti development, anti Albertan agenda.

Everyone here in Alberta should apply for welfare all at once, why the hell should we work so justin can steal it and talk down to us while doing so.
commented 2015-10-26 01:56:55 -0400
Kenneth Lawrence maybe we need to go down the toilet for the idiots to wake up, i will actually be happy in one way if Justin cannot rape Alberta because there is nothing to steal and he has to make money come from thin air.

One could hope that the slow-on-the-uptake types who voted NDP (New Depression Party) would get what they deserve (unemployment and poverty), but not the people who voted Wild Rose to grow the Alberta economy.

You are going to pay, pay and pay. Your children will be born into indentured servitude, paying for what you got. I believe that children should be born free of debt.

Alberta’s fool of finance minister said the have to borrow and tax 6.5 billion to build schools and protect the jobs of government employees. While the destroy jobs in the private sector of people who are leaving Alberta by the thousands, so they won’t need the schools. The NDP are clueless communist’s.

Trudeau-Notley-Nenshi, all want massive infrastructure spending. I don’t recall all three positions being on the same page, ever. Coincidence or more to it? Is there something else going on here? Who will gain? Bankers world wide have heard the dog whistles. Construction and concrete companies, also heard the dog whistles. Canada is about to spend like a drunken sailor and borrow to the max.
commented 2015-10-25 16:19:35 -0400
Blair, so I voted Wildrose in the Alberta election and Conservative in the federal election. Do I, also, “deserve what I get”?

I forgot to mention the biggest Takeaway I got from watching this video is this idiot is a teacher it’s no wonder kids are morons and indoctrinated fools they got brain-dead jerkoffs like this teaching, like I said you’re getting what you deserve

This would be funny if it wasn’t so pathetically sad , notley is an idiot she surrounds herself with idiots so does any thinking person think it would any different , when you start with an idiot and go with more idiots this is the result, idiocy , Albertans like the majority of Canadians are gonna sit and watch and pay the price, I am retired I don’t care I’m gonna get a check and I hope I get a raise, but you other fools you’re getting exactly what you deserve .

“The serfs, meaning you, will pay the price, and suffer the damages.”

while Notley and the children collect their $200K+ salaries.
commented 2015-10-25 12:47:36 -0400
Notley and gang appointed him. That tells us how deep the hole goes. The cult all thinks the same. The serfs, meaning you, will pay the price, and suffer the damages.

Bravo said to Liza, "… but of course what would she fill the vacuum with? "

Well, she filled the vacuum in her head with sawdust, so maybe she could find enough of that to fill the void.

I’d say everyone leave Alberta at once, they won’t have anyone to tax, but of course what would she fill the vacuum with?
Careful Liza – she could fill it with the islamics trudope is bringing in – it would bring in millions if not billions of federal welfare money – compliments of the tax payer.

Good post Marty… But I would wait for the budget details just to assess how much damage is going to be done and then raise the flag of Western Separation so you can cite “chapter and verse”… Atlantic Canada has been “bought” by the highest bidder for generations now; Quebec has always put a finger into the wind to see which way it’s blowing; Ontario is a basket case dominated by the crazies in Toronto; Manitoba has been a “dead man walking” for decades and just won’t learn from repeating the same mistakes over and over again… That leaves us in The West to stop being patsies to the Laurentian Elites… The bottom line being:- Why should we once again be the economic and dollar well to fuel the idiots in Ottawa???….
commented 2015-10-25 02:03:20 -0400
Man oh man, I really feel for you guys in Alberta. I’m right next door and wish I could help you guys. I can give you moral support however, and I will every chance I get.
Fight, fight with everything you have. Take back your province. Push for Western Separation, because the rest of Canada is Fucked.
commented 2015-10-25 01:17:35 -0400
Likewise, Liza, and in the meantime, lawful civil resistance (i.e. massive demonstrations) to the insane NDP government in Alberta must happen to slow, as much as humanly possible, the economic destruction of that province.
commented 2015-10-25 01:02:40 -0400
Exactly, I hope enough true Albertan’s can hold on there until that province can be taken back from the walking dead.
commented 2015-10-25 00:57:03 -0400
“What would she fill the vacuum with?” That would be quickly solved by the incoming federal progressive dictatorship.
commented 2015-10-24 23:47:14 -0400
I’d say everyone leave Alberta at once, they won’t have anyone to tax, but of course what would she fill the vacuum with? There is something wrong with our system if politicians are allowed to abuse the rules this way, seriously wrong.
commented 2015-10-24 21:42:03 -0400
Who the hell are those Albertans who thought they could forever keep Papa and Junior Truedoughs hands off the Alberta cash with his N.E.P.? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Energy_Program. You foolish immigrants from the ROC, Calgarian Liberals and their NDP carpetbaggers will make YOU pay for that Alberta. If you won’t learn your history, you’ll REPEAT it! And western alienation will rear it’s head again! AND the EAST can FREEZE in the dark!
commented 2015-10-24 21:12:37 -0400
They are not jump starting anything. They are going to tax borrow and use royalty revenue to finance a fake economy of green corporate welfare bums and thieves. All the slugs were patting the NDP on the back today for that announcement. Including the chamber of commerce. When you crunch the numbers on using resource revenue for this illegal purpose, and to make up for the lose of revenue to run the government, it translates into ten thousand dollars of tax increases on average per household in Alberta to make up the shortfall. Not counting the higher taxes for debt repayment. A sure recipe for economic collapse.
commented 2015-10-24 20:46:14 -0400
That is a very good question Kelvin. I am so sorry I can’t even try to answer it.
commented 2015-10-24 20:27:46 -0400
How the heck can a newly elected government borrow money without a budget announcement or even a session in parliament? Is that proper parliamentary procedure? How are all these ideas being implemented without at least a question period? I realize that they hold a majority but they haven’t even sat down in one single session have they? For a government that is supposed to be for the people they are sure leaving the people out of it.
commented 2015-10-24 20:21:42 -0400
Mad Max,
I’ve got your back if the budget is too crazy. I am100% with you. We have got to get these crazies out of here.
commented 2015-10-24 19:59:20 -0400
I too, support western separation, given the current economic suicide that we just committed, or more correctly, was committed on our behalf, federally, and will magnified now, provincially.
commented 2015-10-24 19:54:54 -0400
I got your six mad max

I remember the WCC. I voted for Gordon Kesler of the WCC in a byelection in the early 80s and he was elected. His campaign slogan was “Send a message to Ottawa”. I’d support western separation too, under our present circumstances.

It is time to take back our Province. We need to organize rallies and oust this Government. Not in four years but NOW!
To take a quote from a great right wing lady: the problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of orher people’s money.
