WATCH: Would-be NDP finance minister Andrew Thompson's TV "trainwreck": "I don't have the details with me. Give me a break!"

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Commentator

It was a televised trainwreck as the NDP's Andrew Thompson fumbled his TV appearance touting the party's fiscal plan.

But when asked for details, he repeatedly stammered that he didn't have the actual document with him!

Even the other guests made fun of him.

What did he think he was going on TV for?

And Thompson's being touted as finance minister if the NDP wins the election!

I knew Andrew decades ago as an elitist, arrogant, supercilious, sophistic, ’’socialist’’. The man is a charlatan. He was a protege of Dwayne Lingenfelter (of all people). But, folks, let’s get his name right: it’s "Thomson’, not “Thompson”.

Andrew Thompson looks almost stupid enough to be an NDP. He just lacks the ability to lie with a straight face like his boss.

This JO is totally lost. The expression on his face says it all.

At least we got some Truth from an NDP member — “I don’t have the document with me.”
As for the rest, well…

The Lieberal and Dipper platforms are merely smoke and mirrors meant to bribe the voter with goodies. No one has adequately explained how all this will be paid for!

Lefty media don’t report because of the monies they receive from government. CBC gets more if a Liberal government is in. Want to see how biased CBC is? Just tune into a few minutes of “This hour has 22 Minutes”. That proves hands down their bias. These idiots think that we the public are the idiots. Do they think we believe everything we see on their network? I suppose they do because they are so stupid to not be able to see the disaster that Liberals present with their rainbows and unicorns.

that was way to funny
commented 2015-09-19 12:02:41 -0400
Welcome to the Rebel Sheila! I believe you are correct inasmuch the lefties expect a sympathetic media who won’t press for details.

Great start at The Rebel Sheila. I think those of us who want to know the truth will have a friend in you. Welcome aboard.

BRIAN KELLY , last time I did simple arithmetic, one million times fifteen equals fifteen million, so the shortfall would be one billion, nine hundred eighty-five million.

Paul Young,
I watched your postings/blog, as a small business owner, I have to say,

Well done!!!!
Of course, the Media Party will not report this! And they will continue to lie and fabricate stories.

The real problem, real enemy, is the " Leftist, Bag Licking Media Party ".
Twenty two years ago, I was paying $3,500.00 to $5,300.00 a year for daycare for my first son, as a single father.
Daycare has gone up since.
Let’s look at Mulcair’s double speak, and read between the lines;

" Under an NDP Government, we will create a predetermined amount of childcare spaces at $15.00 a day, these will also create good paying jobs………… "
" We will raise taxes to pay for the billions this failed Quebec inspired policy will cost, and we will do it with newly created over paid public sector union positions ".
Example, here in Ontario, part time Early Childhood Educators make $24.00 to $25.00 an hour, full time employees make much more with benefits. They are allowed a predetermined number of children per ECE, per union rules, so a group of thirty children would have three to four ECE care givers.

And Mulcair’s new financial guru?
Well, he is just another union thug, isn’t he?

Give me a break!

Yep, that was a train wreck. Typical.
commented 2015-09-19 08:44:29 -0400
Wow Gretzky the great one says Harper unreal PM..
commented 2015-09-19 08:36:33 -0400
Socialists have been going on for years about PM Harpers hidden agenda, after all these years they stopped talking about it because it was false. Now with the NDP, I think people on the left are starting to realize that the NDP are the one with the hidden agenda. If people do not realize that $15 a day daycare is not going to cost is full of you know what. Lets look at Mulcair’s statement during the debate, he said that it costs family’s $2,000 a year for day care per child and has guaranteed 1 million spots, math now.
1 million x $2,000 = 2 billion dollars
1 million x $15 = 150 million
Short Fall of = 1.85 billion dollars
That is just for day care and not including all the other planned spending, where is all this money coming from? Mulcair says no personal taxes will be raised, but every other tax will be implemented, payroll tax, cap and trade, green energy, plus many more. When the NDP stops drilling for oil then where will all those lost billions come from? The people need to see with their eyes and not vote with emotion which many are doing. I want my country to be strong and not weak like socialists are. Socialist would rather cower than stand up, look at all this political correctness they invented, that policy is for cowards and thin skinned people.

Considering the entire party is under the microscope they are totally ill prepared to be in the position they are in. For one to instill trust one must lead. Were I a taxpayer in Alberta I’d be asking him to give me a break!
commented 2015-09-19 02:26:23 -0400
The left side of the brain does not function for a left winger, When any left wing official talks about numbers or the economy. A common reaction will be “Oh boy”
commented 2015-09-19 00:13:05 -0400
That about sums up a socialist’s fiscal policy: “I don’t have the details.” But we’re to take them at their word I guess. Sorry, but after living through the lost decade of the 90s in BC with an NDP government, I don’t particularly like the idea of them having power on the national stage.
commented 2015-09-18 23:06:20 -0400
Good going Sheila ! Keep it up !
commented 2015-09-18 22:32:06 -0400
Excellent Report Sheila. Objective and Informative. Keep exposing their train wrecks!
commented 2015-09-18 22:15:35 -0400
The asshole can’t remember a simple number and expects to run an economy. These NDP must be braindead like their liberal counterparts.
commented 2015-09-18 21:54:31 -0400
Keep on shining a light on the NDP’s blunders as they happen. What a bunch of stooges!
commented 2015-09-18 20:21:19 -0400
Typical NDP. Can’t wait to see what Jimmy and Brinkman have to say on this one.
Alberta, I feel sorry for you and I live in Ontario. We too have idiots leading us down the path of gloom.
commented 2015-09-18 20:17:24 -0400
Ouch! Don’t do it! The myth that asking forgiveness is better than asking permission is not true! :P
commented 2015-09-18 20:15:08 -0400
Where do they find these people? Talk about an embarrassment. And we’re suppose to trust these people to run our country. Not likely.
