What have Notley’s job creation schemes wrought? Alberta EI claims up 92%

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Commentator

Alberta’s latest jobs numbers are in and they aren’t good. New numbers out from Statistics Canada show that Alberta’s employment insurance claims have gone up 92% from July 2015 until July 2016.

This comes on the heels of the latest revelations that 110,000 energy workers across Canada have lost their jobs and nearly one in ten people in Calgary are unemployed and looking for work.

How can that be? Rachel Notley has had a handful of schemes she assured us would create jobs.

There was Notley’s much bragged about job grant program that was supposed to create 27,000 jobs which only created one job for the poor individual that had to answer the phone when employers called to inquire about the status of the program before the program was cancelled.

There was the minimum wage hike that Notley claimed would not only not cost any jobs but maybe even create a few. Youth unemployment at the time of that boost to the minimum wage in October was 11.6%. It’s now hovering near 15.1%

There was the Climate Leadership Plan and Carbon Tax that Notley said would guarantee us social licence for our pipelines and create jobs through diversification. The NEB hearings for Energy East have been shut down because of protestors and leaked documents revealed that Notley knew 15,000 people would lose their jobs because of her plan.

Everything Notley does causes more job losses and more unemployment. Every meddling effort she makes to adjust the economy ends in more human misery. But that doesn’t stop her.

For Rachel Notley, Albertans are just the eggs that have to be broken to make her socialist omelette.

Tired of Notley pissing down your leg each day Alberta?…

TOM WOJCIK… Good question… “Somebody” is going to have to “get off the pot”…And I’m not even an Albertan!… So where are Jason Kenney or the Wildrose party leaders on this?… Perhaps having a beer and a laugh at the local Legion ?… Their inability, up to now, to grasp this opportunity speaks volumes about their “business as usual” approach to politics… They all should be doing pushups to start each and every day because otherwise they are just more politicians farting in the wind…

I don’t get it. All this talk and no action! The province is going down the drain. Fast. Unemployment rate – the highest in the nation, within1 year we’ve accumulated billions $ in debt and there’s no end in sight to the NDP utopia. We’re going down, like a herd of sheep for slaughter, my friends. Resigned, with not one word of objection. Nothing! Not one protest, not one demonstration. The political apathy in this nation is beyond my comprehension. Isn’t our democratic right to publicly express our disappointment and anger with the Communist lunacy that’s driving this province into abyss?
commented 2016-09-26 12:16:39 -0400
Dale it will have to be really well publicized so that as many people as possible can participate, hopefully even come from neighbouring provinces. Even with a heads up what could the authorities do to stop it?
commented 2016-09-26 00:56:58 -0400
If this continues much longer Albertans will likely start to get militant and fight this sorry excuse for a government with mass public demonstrations, tax revolts, and by whatever means necessary to unseat these communists. The sooner the better.

Deborah Graupner you are exactly correct. You’ve hit the nail squarely on the head my friend. Al Peterson you guys are on to a great idea. We could also get farmers and the O & G industry to gridlock QE 2 with slow moving equipment etc to draw attention to our cause. Notley is bringing Alberta to a standstill, I say we do it to QE 2.

Al peterson & Andy said..
“Hey, Andy, you’re on to something.
Remember the Via Baltica? The human chain of protesters from Tallin to Riga to Vilnius? How about a human chain from Edmonton to Red Deer to Calgary? That would get Notley’s attention. It would go viral all over the world just as it did in the Baltics. The upside wold be to humiliate these left wing scum. People could come from other provinces to show support. I would come. If you build it they will come.”

I am so in..!!!!!!!

Wow——I read every post on this story and Albertans are extremely upset. I don’t know how you will survive 2.5 more years of standing by, especially when your Carbon Tax starts in 3 months, and McCallum “insisted” last week that Albertans want more Refugees. The Refugees that he will be sending probably have been in Canada a year; this means the Province picks up the long term Welfare costs , not the Federal Gov’t.
Kelvin Grabowsky is correct in pointing out that Main Stream Media is your worst enemy (after the Gov’t) . But they are also the easiest to change in your favor. They can’t afford symbols on the steps of their building like burning tires that do little damage, but garner world attention. Proof of this is the Muslim example; the MSM never says bad things about Muslim crimes, as they know that a fanatic may try to burn down their building. Sometimes CTV and CBC are afraid to even say the word Muslim.
One thing Albertans have going for them is, they admit to having a problem.

The continued attack on O&G is to destroy the jobs for the educated professionals like Engineers and Draftsmen. Those who support them are the ones being left behind, and are being forced to claim EI and welfare. Many professionals have already fled to the US or overseas, as our government continues to destroy the fabric of our modern society. Once EI runs out, then many of us will be at the mercy of social services, who are focused mainly on supporting faux refugees, who are being given everything they need. They wish to destroy the pride and abilities of those who have spent their whole lives building and maintaining our modern society. It’s not just individuals that they are destroying, but their families as well. They are driving those who support their families to drugs and alcohol. Just watch the glee on their faces as they lie to the people, and implement policies that are harmful to capitalism. Capitalism is the pillar of our modern society. All this harm is being inflicted, with the complicity of the MSM. It’s easy to be evil when you have no conscience, and are envious of others who have been independent and successful! They can’t stand to see others do well because they themselves are failures, and they want others to be failures too.

Albertan’s thrown out of a job due to her policies are just collateral damage to her. As far as Notely is concerned everything is on track for her agenda.
Evil personified.

LEVITICUS… So we are on the same page?… If Albertans are indeed pissed off enough with a minority of socialists subverting their whole traditional family, and provincial way of life, and deliberately destroying their economic base, then now is the time to REBEL…. Get those FLUSH NOTLEY! posters up anywhere and everywhere and do it in broad daylight, or the middle of the night…. Just get them up!… And for God’s sake, don’t apologize for doing so when confronted by the union thugs and the welfare leeches…

I guess my point is protest do work..!!
You just can’t give up after one or two because that is what they want you to do and then you feel your attempts are useless but if you hold their feet to the fire you will achieve results.
Silence is submission.

LEVITICUS 2013 – Quote:- “Hey Andy… I guess you’ve never seen a real protest in your life.”… I must confess Leviticus I don’t understand the point you are trying to make with this comment… I am suggesting that Albertans flood the streets with FLUSH NOTLEY! signs so that they cannot be ignored, even by the leftie media… And by the way, given my place of birth, I followed very closely the “Singing Revolution” in the three Baltic States starting in 1989 right up to liberation in Augusts of 1991 from the collapsing Soviet Union… And I participated in some demonstrations of my own on the steps of the Vancouver Art Gallery in 1990… Even wrote a few speeches for the other Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian protestors back then… So, over to you…

Shebel Raj……….I laughed so hard at your ladder class post, I could hardly read as the tears were rolling down my face. This ought to be in a comedy routine, for sure. Laughter, we need it to keep our sanity now, as long as the 3 stooges remain in charge of destruction.

It must be done by the light of the day to have the desired effect… If one has to be arrested and go to jail for telling the truth, so be it sacrifices must be made for the truth to be believed. To do so under darkness would only be considered and believed by the public as a subversive effort by homegrown terrorists promoting hatred adwood further the leftist agenda.

Leviticus 2013 – We need to find some old printing presses now before the government destroys them. I think the news criers would be charged with spreading hatred, so delivery would have to be after dark. Much like the graffiti artists thrive under the cover of darkness. This is what the French did when the Germans occupied their country. We need to form a network now because free speech will under attack even more when the UN controls the internet.

All,
There is one hope for Alberta;
All the residents, ( Including my cousins ), who lost everything,
All the businesses and industry who lost everything,
Get together,
Bring forth a multimillion class action lawsuit against Witch Nutley and her Provincial Non Democratic Politburo!
Nutley and her government of social, communist, homosexuals, are liable and culpable for the extra millions of damage during the Fort Mac. Fires.
Use all your pull and connections in the Wild Rose Party, and the Conservative Party.
Use all your pull and connections in the Oil Patch.
Her bad decisions cost the greater Fort Mac. Area millions!
If these people/factors unify as one, NUTLEY IS COOKED!!

Since the MSM is in collusion with our government traitors. The only way to reach those who are not being told the truth, or who don’t search for it themselves, is by old fashioned criers spreading the news, or by printed materials that are hand delivered door to door. I fear that trying to use our government mail delivery system will not work. I believe they would refuse to deliver the truth.

Peter and Leviticus… I appreciate your comments in response to my original posting, but I still believe that signs and protests cannot be ignored, even by the leftie media, IF they are continuous and “everywhere”… If you couldn’t turn a street corner anywhere in Alberta, without spotting a FLUSH NOTLEY ! sign or two, it would permeate the social consciousness and become a topic of conversation daily… It would force the issue to be taken seriously and give some comfort and unity to those intending by word and deed to FLUSH NOTLEY!

We’re not gonna be able to cope for 2-1/2 more years. J V Driver announced it’s closing the doors in Alberta and laying off all 1500 employees that aren’t able to transfer to BC or Houston or elsewhere. Operating since the 70s it’s no more. Somethings gotta be done NOW or there won’t be anything to rebuild

bob egli; it is not a long term solution. Every socialist government which relied on borrowing to fund its operating expenses has collapsed, either into a dictatorship or gone back to a capitalistic based economy.
commented 2016-09-24 14:42:40 -0400
Leviticus, I understand what you are saying.

It is not that I am against protests and petitions, but I am just voicing my frustration that they seem to be ignored by all on the left, especially the politicians and the main stream media. Surely massive amounts of protests would go “less ignored”, but too many would become “oh, just another extremist right wing protest”.

Peter Netervill..
No they’re not pointless.. protests build and the media has no choice but to cover it. at some point if you have one protest in 10 years it will be forgotten about… If you have 10 protests in one year chances are they will listen… And protests followed by civil disobedience meaning nobody goes to work for a couple days will certainly get their attention and if they try to screw down the policies even harder then everybody will know what the NDP is up to regardless of the media or not.
