What is ONE thing Norway does better than Alberta?

Holly NicholasRebel Commentator

People often use Norway as a comparison to Alberta because they have a trillion dollar wealth fund and we don’t, but the two places couldn’t be more different.

Watch as I explain the differences in forms of government and the benefits and challenges those differences can present.

Differences aside, I also check to see how they’re weathering the oil crisis. It turns out, Norwegians are experiencing many of the same problems despite socialist claims that it’s so much better over there.

It’s undeniable that low oil prices are a factor in Alberta’s struggling economy but it’s more than right to point to NDP policies like increased corporate taxes, a royalty review, the carbon tax, increased property taxes and minimum wage hikes to show how they scare away investments. These are the reasons Alberta isn’t faring as well as other major oil producing countries amidst this economic downturn.

Norway doesn’t scare away investments because they know that oil and gas production is a vital asset to their economy. They welcome business proving that it simply isn’t the socialist utopia some claim it to be.

Oh it’s self???? sigh

It’s because the average Norski is not stupid enough to shoot himself in the foot but make use of the resources that God has given their small land…. For instance, you won’t find them dissin’ their fish farm industry…

Well they have more debt than Alberta as well, and they do not send billions to other provinces every year, and they never got raped by the NEP for over a 100 billion, Alberta could have had a nice fund if we did not have to get raped. And medical costs are far less for a more centralized population.
Still their people are not anti oil morons , that is one huge difference.

Lloyd, i watched a show on Norway the other night, the people embrace their oil resources and the majority know and understand it is a source of wealth and a comfortable life style , in BC they refuse to take advantage of the off shore oil potential which could be a boon for all people in BC but the nut bars like the mayor moonbeam and mental midget turdo would go to their graves before that ever happens, i keep waiting for that big earth quake they talk about in BC ,if it happens i hope the city of Vancouver and Burnaby topple into the ocean .
