When you waste Canadian taxpayers' money this badly you get an award for it for it

Brian LilleyRebel Co-Founder

Allow me to introduce you to the Teddy Awards.

Today, the Canadian Taxpayers Federation held an award ceremony for wasteful government spenders.

The Teddy Awards are named in honour of Ted Weatherill, a former bureaucrat who once spent $700 on a lunch for two and stuck taxpayers with the bill.

The awards are given out on the municipal, provincial and federal level and there's also a lifetime achievement award.

I give my take on the winners and how taxpayers like you end up getting screwed.

Hear hear! Well said Brian. I love the last line, “…and yes, I’d start with the CBC”.

Very appropriate for the provincial award to go to the Ministry of energy. They not only have squandered billions with smart meters and such, but continue do to so with their taxpayer funded subsidies to the wind and solar farm owners. And they want to implement more!!! Unbelievable. Ontarians are stupid.

How many homeless people can be fed with the wasted money?

Richard Fantin -

Seriously? You want us to watch over 2 hours of “Harper is a Nazi” hate propaganda?

Your premise is that Harper was to blame for the G20 riots.

It’s a flawed premise, Rich. Policing is provincial and that makes it, let’s see, oh yeah, a Liberal destruction of rights.

Yawn … is tired old “Harper jack boots” propaganda the best you got?

Amazing that The Harper Government wasting $1 Billion (with a B) on the systematic destruction of rights back in 2010 didn’t make the lifetime achievement award.
