Why giving Colombia’s president a Nobel Peace Prize was “crazy”

Rebel Staff

When I heard that the people of Colombia narrowly voted to reject a peace deal to end the country's 50-year-old civil war, I didn't understand why. After I learned more about the terms, I understood why, but that made it even more bizarre that the country's president received the Nobel Peace Prize for negotiating that same agreement.

Poor Baby Doc, he thought he was going to get it for rarefying the air with his existence.

It is all politics and money by the elites of the world – it means nothing anymore.

The Narcos and Pablo Escobar spirit still control this socialist hell hole , nice white shirts, symbol of purity.

Penson…..your post is again proof positive of your serious mental illness.

Gotta laugh at pathetic hypocrites like Sean Pissant who get all upset because of some locker talk then he defends people who subjugate and murder and rape women. WHAT A LOSER!

Sean Penson if saying that means you hate women then Bill Clinton must truly hate them beyond any words. He is also a rapist.

Sean Penson he does not hate women. You do , you proved you hate women when you defended and joked about those losers who attacked a woman for having a Trump sign. Just because the only woman you can get is an anime pillow does not mean others are sex maniacs.

Keith, No he didn’t. He proved to hate women, and being a sex maniac

Columbia better watch out, Sean is gonna tell his mom. Funny how commies suddenly want peace when they are losing. PATHETIC COWARDS!

Sean then go down there and fight for it. Commies are scum.

The treaty barely lost in the referendum, and people that voted against it, probably didn’t know what they were doing.

Regardless of how many said no, this treaty must be ratified, regardless of the consequences.

From the Truth is Stranger Than Fiction Department. Kinda like our lefty government here. The Left is like a stupid seeking missile. If there is a stupid idea they hit tit dead centre every time.

Obama had to broker an end to Columbia’s struggles against the drug cartel – it was interrupting the Supply of premo white to Obama parties on Martha’s vinyard

The award has long past become meaningless. Deserving people are overlooked in favor of people who do not merit such awards. Yet another thing tainted by the leftards.

Obama only gave a couple of speeches in the Middle East and was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. Unlike previous nominees, who, in many cases, spent DECADES working toward solving problems and achieving peace in one place or another, Obama had only been known beyond Chicago a few weeks and had NO previous record of achievement. In anything! The Nobel Committee later admitted that they had hoped to spur him to do more by giving him the Prize so prematurely; apparently they were very disappointed. Their awarding the Peace Prize to Obama marked the moment where they had made themselves irrelevant: achievement no longer matter, good intentions were enough to win the Prize.

«made it even more bizarre that the country’s president received the Nobel Peace Prize»

It all makes sense when you realize that the Nobel Committee is full of ultra-leftists that side with FARC, Islamists, and all manner of terrorists and dictators, rather than democracy. They applaud Santos for trying to sell out to and elevate ultra-left terrorists to power.

Unlike our country at least they had the opportunity to vote.
