Wikileaks: Secret cables reveal Saudi Arabia's plans to fight... Ezra Levant

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

Wikileaks took a rare break from going after the good guys like the U.S. and released some secret Saudi diplomatic cables about.... me.

Specifically, they were upset about my book Ethical Oil, and an ad EthicalOil.org ran a few years ago, calling OPEC oil anti-women's rights.

So by "Holy Royal Decree," the Saudi's formed a committee to address this threat!

If they're this sensitive to criticism and competition, imagine all the other ways these powerful billionaires can punish their enemies -- and reward their friends.

I am skeptical about positive outcome for Canada in this asymmetrical war. On the one hand you have those for whom there is no boundary between personal & public exchequer and can use any amount of money without scrutiny or oversight to fend off threats But on other side you have people who heck to death their poor senators for a genuine housing allowance and groups and judiciary which can literally veto any move leading promotion of business in this sector. Canada can never win this war! And definitely get poorer with each passing day

I wonder how the anti-oil protesters and lobbyists feel about this? Are they happy to be working with SA, especially if it gets rid of people like Ezra?

Bill Elder : You are bang on, and Ezra underestimated Saudi. I had this on the back of my mind when he started with ethicaloil.com. We are a speck of dust compared to the money Saudi can throw at us short notice.

… then they flooded the market and made the tar sands unprofitable… See what happens when you poke the bear sometimes? You get mauled…

I implied this a few times in the past. Looks like they actioned this, Ezra, and That means you have to wear a piece of it.

I just wish that we have the pipelines so we do not have to guy oil from Saudi Arabia.

Saudis have had no military presence of nuclear defense systems – there is a reason, their foreign policy is economically driven – 2 ways to deal with an enemy = A) buy them B) finance their dissidents to destroy them from within. Saudis have bought the anti- oil lobby in North America. I suspect they see Levant as some kind of PR man for Canadian oil, so they will design some smear campaign or lawfare attack to silence him. We really are the last nation who they have not bought off into a non competition mode – they own the Whitehouse, and Brussels, London, Paris and Berlin. Ottawa is about the only political entity left competing with them for global petro dollars other than Moscow.

Lots of hooforah about nothing. More wikileaks splash for the sake of promoting wikileaks. This so-called equitable focus on Saudi Arabia told us what we already know – SA hates Israel, SA has money, SA promotes fundamentalist Islam … yawn. Wikileaks is as biased as they come. As for their obsession with Ezra – at least it’s good for business, eh? If some rich Saudis buy his book, maybe he can hire some more security.

Canada is not a coast to coast to coast park. Our natural resources are ours to use so that we can create jobs and pay for healthcare and intrastructure and everyeverything else needed to sustain our modern civilized way of life.
Any person or country attempting to stonewall our rightful use of own resourses and wealth is contributing to the hardship of thousands of young people who would other wise be operating in a much richer economy.

Good reporting Ezra. Those Saudi Arabians are totally insane and need to come down a few (a lot of) notches. They have had the upper hand in the oil market for far too long. I say to hell with them. Business is business and what Canada does with it’s oil is none of their business.

this is normal unethical back door process for many operations …

Be cautious there Ezra – the police are not on your side either. You may need a few body guards – as these ISIS types are insanely goofy!!

When oil moves to $25 per barrel, the world will become an interesting place – say hello to the depression and it will be a long one.

With Kushing, Oklahoma ready to flow oil into the streets (all time inventory highs), central banks can keep oil near $60 for only so much longer.

I can’t wait to see which journalists have been bought to trash the oilsands. Pass the beer and popcorn!

Encouraging Wikileaks is taking swipes at everybody, not just the democracies! Wonder if, and how much Saudi money is flowing to the Lieberals and the NDP? Hmm……..
