Wildrose win in Calgary Foothills by-election is momentous

Prasad Panda, candidate for the Wildrose in the Calgary Foothills by-election, won yesterday with a very significant share of the vote.

It's also significant to note that voter participation was up (40% of eligible voters cast a vote) which is unusual for a by-election.

As much as this was a win for Panda and Wildrose, this was also a rejection of the direction the NDP (aka - The People's Republic of Alberta) have been taking and also a sound rejection of the old, tired, corrupt PC's, the party that has won that riding every time since it was created in 1971.

Four years from now voters will get to have their say again in a general election and if this by-election result is anything to go by, this time when they vote for change it will be the right kind of change.

There is hope for Alberta yet! They are waking up after being in a stupper when they voting for the NDP in the first place. Premier Notley will only have ONE TERM! T. Mulcair looks like a grizzley bear with his beard!

Calgary-Foothills send a message to Alberta’s NDP. North Simcoe sends a message to Ontario’s Liberals. Is the rest of Canada listening? This country can’t afford leftist governments.

Good news for Alberta! The voters are waking up and recognizing the threat the Dippers pose!

Thank God some Albertans have woken up. Hopefully they will vote this way in future elections. The best way to get rid of NDP is to elect them

If Albertans wanted change before, they really want it now that the NDP is destroying their economy. And the right, having seen what happens when they split the free enterprise vote, and recognizing that the old Tory party is finished, will coalesce around Wild Rose until the next general election, at which time the NDP will be tossed out on its ear.

And that can’t happen a moment too soon. We can only hope there is anything left of Albertan society by then, because at the rate the NDP is destroying it, Albertans will be lucky to have enough money to actually hold an election in 2019.

I really have a hard time understanding this want of change and it’s overriding effect on election outcomes. One really needs to look at the underlying principles of the party for whom you are voting. Not jus vote for someone else to make a change.

Canada and all Canadians collectively must use this and what has been going on for far to long in Manitoba as a wake up call and lesson to keep PM Harper at the helm. Many I speak with have a dislike of Harper, but are smart enough to admit it is because of the constant negative and distorted stories by the media consortium. Even my die hard PET Liberal friends (very) reluctantly admit JT & Mad Tom are unfit to represent us in these uncertain times. Oct 19 must be a vote for who and what party will best serve us and Canada and there is only one clear choice – a strong clear Conservative majority, with PM Harper on the reins.
