No wonder we're turning into a bunch of spineless pansies.
Jacqui Kendrick, a stay-at-home mom, says that she was reported to and investigated by Child and Family Services for letting her kids play outside in her backyard.
She says that Child Services unexpectedly showed up in April after they received a complaint that her children were unsupervised.
“The CFS worker was asking me about if we’ve ever dealt with CFS before, what my childhood was like, how I punish my children,” Kendrick said. “She had to look to see where my kid slept. She had to see if we had enough food in the house.”
Kendrick's children are ages two, five and 10. She told National Post that she often lets them play in her fenced off backyard.
When she's not watching them from he living room window, her oldest child takes care of her siblings.
“My 10-year-old is very responsible. We’ve taught the older ones already the whole stranger danger, and they know what to do,” she said.
How insane and embarrassing.
