You won't believe what the Calgary Herald thinks is the most important issue in the Alberta election

Rebel Staff

What do you think the most important issue in the Alberta election is? The Calgary Herald thinks it's... Premier Prentice's refusal to attend a global warming conference.

It sounds almost like it was written in Toronto instead of Calgary.

Maybe by an intern. Maybe by David Suzuki himself!

(What's worst is the photo the Herald ran with their op-ed. I guess nobody at the paper reads French, or they just didn't care that it showed a protest sign calling for an end to Alberta's oil industry.)

The whole editorial isn't just an ideological smear at their own province.

It's factually inaccurate, too, and I'll explain why.

The world was a lot warmer before the advent of modern industry. From 900 AD to 1100 AD there was a warm period which allowed Viking settlers to raise crops and farm animals in Greenland. In this same time Yorkshire, England was a wine exporting region. The Viking settlements failed when the climate became colder and farming was no longer possible. The belief that global warming is man made is ridiculous. No industry on earth has even come close to generating the same amount of heat as the Sun.

Just a guess, the Calgary Herald is owned by Post Media, the most socialist publisher in Canada. RIP as the real truth comes out via alternative sources of information.

Was this written by some new hire Media Party refugee killing time at the Duffy trial?

In case there were any doubts, this pretty well nails it that The Calgary Herald is nothing less than a left-wing purveyor of politically-correct bunk. And people actually subscribe to it for well-informed ‘news’ and opinion? As you say Ezra, you are “stunned, stunned that this crap appears in the Calgary Herald, and, even more so, that that people would pay for it”. Better to spend their money on books of fiction.

You are not going to logic with these people. The more the science shows the AGW as being one massive fraud the more the media doubles down… The herald has become a joke.

Ezra, Truth is king and I like to think that is why I am here, reading your articles. I want the truth. When you said that without the tar sands, Saskatchewan has a larger oil and gas industry than Alberta, I would sure like to see where your research found this information.

Wasn’t the Herald the one single conservative leaning paper in the whole country at one time?

Too much influence through the Mayor of Pembina,Tides etc. That city has not been the same since Nenshi.

I’ll bet Wall got a laugh being called a green province.
The writers for the Calgary Herald are probably from Toronto, as Ezra hinted at.

Calgary has gone to the other side. They think they don’t need oil or gas to survive anymore because they are such a large metropolitan city.
