“Stud” vs “dud”: Conservative leaders Bernier and Scheer vie to oust Trudeau

Conservatives in Canada have recently been witness to a tale of two leaders. First up was Maxime Bernier, leader of the People’s Party of Canada who dropped by Ford Nation in Etobicoke, as compared to CPC leader Andrew Scheer who spoke at the PCPO convention in Toronto.

More than 1,200 enthusiastic supporters packed the venue to listen to Bernier, who brought passion and substance, announcing PPC policy planks in a rapid-fire manner to wild cheers.

Bernier’s confidence was striking and after his speech, he hung around for well over an hour, shaking hands and posing for photos. He also agreed to an interview with The Rebel, and was obliging and generous with his time.

Three days later, Andrew Scheer spoke at the Ontario PC convention in Toronto, and in what was a friendly audience of Conservatives who desperately want regime change in Ottawa, he only received “polite applause.”

The audience seemed hopeful, desperate even, for Scheer to say something - anything! – to ignite their passions. But with the exception of stating his opposition to a carbon tax, there were very few tangible announcements.

He could have talked about things such as border control and “irregular” immigration. But, apparently, that’s third-rail stuff, obsessed as he is with how he’ll be covered by the Mean Girls at the CBC, the Toronto Star and The Globe and Mail.

As for us at the Rebel, including YOU, our cherished million-plus YouTube subscribers -- well, sorry. Scheer can’t be bothered to slum it with the Canuck-deplorable’s. When he was done boring the PC rank and file, he jumped into his chauffeured SUV and got out of Dodge.

In summary, my gut feeling is that I have to agree with recent polls showing that the Scheer Conservatives are destined to lose next year.

I become a proud founding member of the PPoC after listening to Maxime explain why he left the wimpy Scheer lib-lite party. If you sincerely want to vote conservative, there is only one choice and that is Maxime Bernier and the Peoples Party of Canada. I see no reason to worry about vote splitting considering there is no appreciable difference between the so-called conservative party and the Liberals.

Good old Rebel. Sabotaging the chance to save Canada on the eve of the most important election of our lifetime. Like GOP hardliners refusing to support Mitt Romney in the election of 2012, effectively giving the U.S., four more years of that treasonous twit, Barack Hussein Obama.

It has often been said of Maxine Bernier that he is a Liberal plant, well it is beginning to look like David Menzies, Ezra Levant and the rest of the Rebel team are also Liberal plants, effectively serving as propagandists for Max Bernier. The reasoning being, that a successful Maxine Bernier will not win of course but he will take enough votes away from the Conservatives to ensure the re-election of that treasonous buffoon, Justin Trudeau.

I am obligated to point out the following, to all the simpletons (and omigod yes, you are simple) who expect that they can sit out the next four years under Trudeau and that Bernier will win a majority in 2023, just in the nick of time to save Canada. There is only one fly in the ointment of your deluded reasoning, which is that given the Trudeau/Gerald Butts teams’ intentions to flood Canada will millions of migrants over the next few years, there won’t be a Canada to save in 2023. By then, the traitor Trudeau’s evil prophecy will be fulfilled and Canada will have become “the world’s first post-national state.” The 2019 election will be the last chance to save Canada electorally; but Bernier and his stooges will have sabotaged that.

Good work Ezra. Good work David. Good work Max. You have done your work well.

Bernier is the one who will knock Trudeau of his Throne, Scheer will only knock on his door, handing out ‘Vote Scheer’ flyers. I have a feeling that Bernier is going to go viral in the political arena leading up to the elections.

Excellent assessment of Mad Max vs. Smilin’ Andy.

I’ll vote for Mad Max if there is a candidate in my riding next election.

I’m still worried about the split vote, though.

It’s pretty sad that the mainstream conservatives in federal politics have been so watered down they don’t have a back bone anymore, instead they have moved more to the center to appeal to the masses tossing their grass root values aside.I just can’t vote for Scheer,we need someone to kick Trudeau’s ass to the curb hard and fast!!For me Bernier has my vote, however I am worried that the rat in Ottawa will get in again and if that is the case we are hooped.Should Trudummy get in again, let the civil war begin!!
