Federal Natural Resources Minister Amarjeet Sohi was greeted by a pro-pipeline rally in Edmonton early this morning.
Sohi, one of four Alberta Liberal MPs, was speaking at an early morning meeting of business leaders from the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce at the World Trade Centre downtown.
However, outside on the street the real business case was being made by attendees of a rally co-organized by Rally for Resources and Canada Action.
At its peak, some 150-200 people demonstrated in support of the Trans Mountain pipeline and against the Liberals’ pipeline killing Bill C-69.
I was one of the few reporters on the scene, as the event kicked off well before 8 am. The sun wasn’t even up yet but the folks on the street had a lot to say about how the Liberals have been mishandling the pipeline file and mistreating Alberta.
Watch my video to see the signs, hear the chants and hear what the people at the rally had to say.
Rally For Resources says they’ll continue to organize demonstrations whenever a Liberal cabinet minister shows up in Alberta.
My English was destroyed by twitter.
How would dumber than a rock Trudeau know about the value of a dollar? His life has been one trust fund cheque after another, on time and probably directly deposited into his account so that he doesn’t lose the cheque. Ever wonder why this 50 year old hasn’t been allowed to get his hands directly on the trust? Papa Doc knew better than to let him touch the principal.
Trudeau inherited his mother’s brains and Fidel’s looks and politics. Ergo, he has socialism and the value of other people’s efforts to pay for his dictatorial dreams while being an idiot. A very bad, if not dangerous, situation for us.

When Trudeau screws Alberta, which is every day, why not protest in front of these 4 offices? The Cross-Canada coverage might encourage other unhappy areas like Quebec to protest.
Give it time. Not enough intergration.
I know Calgarians too. The same people that voted Nenshi in. Twice.
No, the salt of God’s earth is in the rural parts of Alberta and frankly, all of Western Canada.
Never go wrong by going rural.
You’re talking to a former Liberal from Luberal heartland. I know my countrymen. I know they change when they hit God’s country.
I’ll tell you what! A total Conservative conversion. "
That has not been the case. I’ve never seen it.
How many ethnic second generation albertans actually work in the oil patch?
What is the population of Edmonton?
You drive up costs then you have to drive down wage. What group of people work for low wages?
How many out of province people actually work in the oil fields?
What happens to Liberals when they come out west?
I’ll tell you what! A total Conservative conversion.
To control the oil patch is to control several other provinces and foreign workers as well as punish friendly capitalists and reward cronie capitalists that can afford a carbon tax but use it as an excuse to drive wage drastically down.
Kenney wants to control the price of oil? He’s in cahoots with cronie capitalists in my opinion.
All done.
Oorrr… This is how to get a Conservative to vote red by corrupting them with money after punishing them.
Those are my thoughts.
