100 Facebook employees challenge its left wing bias

Amanda HeadRebel Contributor

This story comes from the New York Times, so...

According to them, a Facebook employee penned an open letter protesting the company's obvious bias against conservative voices on the platform.

At least 100 other employees have since joined this chorus. As you can imagine, this has caused a rift within the company.

All this while users surveyed say they've lost trust in Facebook and are considering logging off the platform for good.

You are right about that Nicholas. The third world can have it.

1.47 billion people on average log onto Facebook daily. A handful of people here and there that no longer use Facebook probably won’t make any impact. People quit everyday and new people join everyday as well. It essentially evens itself out.

I know a lot of people who have closed their accounts and don’t use it anymore.

Alberta Maga,

I think companies should be able to do what they please and cater to who they want to cater to. They should be able to lean left if they choose. It’s up to us to participate or not.

Nicholas Conklin no one is looking for a conservative one , we want free expression for all. And left wing biased media is failing as we speak in case you are unaware of reality.

Let’s hope Facebook is like Frankenstein and it ends up destroying its creator.

AKA, 100 people want to become heroes to people that insist they are the victims of some vast conspiracy. The Jordan Peterson model – it doesn’t need to be true, if enough people want to believe what you’re saying.

I instructed Face Book to delete my account five months ago (Yes, it can be done!). I had come to see that there was something deeply unhealthy – morally, even spiritually, unhealthy – about Face Book. The first couple of weeks, I missed my FB fix. But once I was over FB, it was a liberation.
I warned my FB friends ahead of time that I would be quitting FB: I am still in touch with the people who mattered most to me on FB – via email.
Now I have more time for writing my Blog, and for getting on with my other creative work.
