Reality makes satire impossible: 10 examples of life imitating “Mr. Show”

Gavin McInnesArchive

The cult comedy program "Mr. Show" aired between 1995 and 1998, and now 20 years later, some of their most absurd sketches are being played out in reality, from the hit musical "Hamilton" to the woman suing because the action movie "Drive" didn't have enough car chases.

You mean “slipping” Jimmy McGill don’t you. ;-) Better Call Saul gets a 3rd season and the rumors are we get to see the transformation from Jimmy into Saul Goodman in this series – I find myself actually looking forward to a new season of TV series drama – something I haven’t in a long time – I can count on one hand the number of TV series I’ve even bothered with in the past 20 years but Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul are two of the 5.

BCS even has a smoking promo song –

I agree with the other posters here who found the snowflake SJWs chanting for a ladder to be hilarious, but also frightening revealing of the basic character of trendy suburban kinder who get sucked into the whole cultural marxist meme.

They chant for mommy and daddy to give them what they want – “we want a ladder”, “we want a ladder”, “we want a ladder” – they are conditioned to the privileged life they enjoyed as children – just pull a tantrum and you get the goodies from an over-indulgent parent – Now they are older (put still eternal children) big government is mommy and daddy and the protest becomes the manipulative “tantrum” the over-indulged children pull to get their entitlement – quite a gut churning pathology – generation snowflake.

So, PC life parodies satire? I think even Bob Odenkirk could write a comedy sketch better than what you see daily in Ottawa it’s a real parody of a satire of a comedy act
