SPECIAL REPORT: 10 facts about oil and gas Justin Trudeau doesn't know -- and the Media Party won't tell you

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

So this week the Trudeau Liberals announced new global warming regulations that will apply only to oil pipelines from western Canada.

(Not to foreign oil that’s imported to Canada, and not to any other industry in Canada, like Ontario auto manufacturers, for example.)

Oh, and not to the Trudeau Liberals themselves:

I'll show you the limousines the Liberal cabinet ministers left running for 90 minutes while they made their announcement.

These people are charlatans and know-nothings.

I'll tell you ten basic facts about oil and gas that you would never know if you relied on the know-nothing Liberals who are wrecking our economy and their know-nothing Media Party cheerleaders.

Here's a sample:

For years, the left has said the Canadian oil sands caused “Dutch Disease":

The oil industry was so strong, they said, it was driving up the Canadian dollar, and that hurt manufacturing in Ontario.

Well, now oil is $30 a barrel, and so our currency is now 71 cents. But companies continue to move to the U.S., because of Ontario taxes and electricity prices, not the oil sands.

And did you know that on any given day, most wind turbines in the world don’t spin? They need coal or natural gas or nuclear to back them up. All they do make billions of dollars for friends of the government, who get taxpayer subsidizes to build them.

Look, demonizing the oil patch is fun, when you’re plundering someone else’s money. But after a while, they get the message, and take their money to a safer jurisdiction. Canadian projects are pulling out of Alberta, and moving to China, Nigeria and even Iraq. Yes, Iraq. But I doubt Trudeau's Liberals care.

You'll want to SHARE this special report with family and friends, because it debunks so much information about oil and gas in a concise, easy to understand way.

Tonight I'm joined by a New Brunswick Progressive Conservative MLA who explains why the Liberals need to support the Energy East pipeline, to help bolster the economy his province.

(NOTE: In New Brunswick, this is a non-partisan issue...)

Then environmental scientist Blair King comes on to talk about why an expert on industrial pollution, like himself -- who believes in climate change and says we should move off fossil fuels -- nevertheless thinks this pipeline should be built.

King says "everyone in the field knows" that pipelines are the safest way to move oil, especially when compared to rail transport.

It's an enlightening conversation with a real expert.

Sean Penson sorry but liberal phony BS is not a great concern idiot. There is no manmade global warming halfwit. And we do not need more terrorists imported and getting a free ride. Now go back to your moms basement, adults are talking. LMAO! Justin is and ignoramus by the way.

Notley and her union boss are setting Alberta up for a nationalized oil industry. As for Wind Turbines in the UK, I bet most of them are fried by now, they just had 140 mph winds all along the NW coast. That was mph not kph, source Sky News.

Ezra – the only way to save Canadian oil & gas is to destroy the hoax of AGW! When the anti-oil govts of Notley, Wynne and Trudeau speak about climate they are blaming CO2 “pollution” in the atmosphere. A total and complete lie as Dr.s Ball and Moore have proven on you show! Your 10 points were all well and good but easily ignored since these politicians are on a religious mission using pseudoscience and outright lies about CO2and Global Warming. That hoax has to be exposed and destroyed FIRST! Once their climate hoax is destroyed they can not defend the “solutions” (like a carbon tax or green energy) to solve a problem that does not exist! Until the AGW hoax is destroyed, the anti-oil lobby is quite willing to destroy our entire economy and sacrifice our standard of living and freedoms for a myth, a scam, a hoax, or as your friend from the Climate Depot named his documentary = Climate Hustle!

Seanmanniegordoduhsylva, have I missed one? The comic relief is almost worth the aggravation. Hilarious.
All the topics you mentioned are exactly what’s being discussed on the Rebel, just not with the ‘spin’ the left puts on it.
Justin ‘giving comfort’….barf.
‘Harper grumpy pants’…I love it.

Penson- You have described a lot of the reasons to separate. We do not buy the crap you list.

Poor little Drew Wakariuk! There is lot going on in the world, other than Alberta’s shitty economy. Things like diversifying Alberta away from non-renewable resources, giving First Nations their due, bringing refugees into this country, trying our best to combat climate change, changing the federal voting system, doing away with the far right’s desire to get tough on crime (mandatory minimums), and helping Ontario and Quebec succeed! A more open mind would have helped Alberta in the long term. A more open mind would also be better for your mental health and wellbeing. Look at the comfort that Justin is giving the Firdt Nations in La Ronge! He is a true leader, unlike a grumpy pants like what Harper is.

I wonder why the media party talks about global warming all the time yet Michal Mann laps that up like a good sheep.
commented 2016-01-29 23:39:46 -0500
People like Michael Mann sure hate it when others are free to talk about what really matters, he is sad that people do not just spout left wing BS all the time.
commented 2016-01-29 23:37:22 -0500
Michael Mann when Muslims stop raping and killing then maybe they will not get covered, when an industry is not being destroyed maybe it will not get news, and there are more stories than that on the Rebel , but of course you seem to not be able to read. Now go tell em why the media party and the the hundreds of stories about Duffy and robocalls was so much better? And let me know when the left stops talking about the damn refugees as well. Sorry if the real world is not to your liking but us adults need to deal with it. Now go stop the phony war on women LMAO!

@ Liza Rosie
Most politicians are in it for themselves, not the people of Canada.
That’s been the liberal way all these years.

Just think what that pipeline would mean to New Brunswick! There is hardly anyone under 40 in the whole province, no birthrate, no jobs and no prospects. Its pathetic that a government would deprive a province, in the country its supposed to be working for, of a chance to survive without a huge cheque from the west via Ottawa. Criminal, really wrong.

Ha Ha …New Science Minister Kirsty Duncan…I burst out laughing.
He could have at least offered this important post to Sophie or his mom Margaret, then he could put Kirsty in a brand new more important Ministry of ‘Astrology and Spiritual Counselling’.
Or should it be the other way around?………..Head down…Dear Lord please forgive me for that one.

@ Michael Mann
You make this too easy.
Do they hand out those neat beanies with big ears to all the attendees at a liberal party function?
It looks kind of like this: CnƆ
J-U-S-T-I-N M-O-U-S-E (I’ll work on that one for you.)
commented 2016-01-29 22:20:21 -0500
The western provinces will soon have 3 conservative premiers and will all be conservative once Nuttley is booted from Alberta. The BC leader Clark is a liberal but the party is conservative. BC will be the only problem but they would join a prosperous west rather than be isolated and dependent on the east. The Republic of Western Canada. No CBC, no transfer payments, unilingual, prosperous, lots of resources and in control of our destiny.
commented 2016-01-29 22:12:59 -0500

So The Rebel is not like Canada’s Fox News – where they cover more than 3 topics?
commented 2016-01-29 22:09:51 -0500

What you think “appeared” – didn’t. Don’t flatter yourself, dipshit.

I would actually love for Ezra to run for Prime Minister – it would be fantastic to watch him be destroyed with very little votes.
commented 2016-01-29 22:03:24 -0500
Ezra, there is one facet of oil coming to New Brunswick you guys have never mentioned. SHIPPING. How many oil ships have been lost over the years, how much environmental damage has been done, and compare that to pipelines. We need to ship all this stuff from Saudi Arabia. It is a very large environmental cost.
Why can’t NB start their pipeline from St. John to the Quebec border. If their government is so, pro oil, why not show it by starting construction? As long as it doesn’t cross a provincial border, it should just be a provincial project, with private money. It will be approved, at some point, but it will cost more later. Think of the jobs for NB.
I lived in NB for 5 years, and loved it, but their taxes are horrendous.
commented 2016-01-29 22:02:08 -0500
Ezra would be a hell of a lot better than that pos we have now.
commented 2016-01-29 22:00:58 -0500
Micheal, considering the state of Canada, I would treat it like a compliment.
commented 2016-01-29 21:59:54 -0500
That leaves only one option Ken. We can take the oil to Valdes Alaska.
commented 2016-01-29 21:59:13 -0500
@ Michael Mann
It would appear I touched a nerve, not only with you I’m sure, and it had the desired effect.
I love it.

No pipeline will be built while Trudeau is in power. There are too many leftist Premiers in Canada who are loyal lapdogs for the Liberals. Remember, everyone of them were taken to Paris and they all came back (except Brad Wall) promising to fight global warming. Already the most loyal Premiers are threatening to block the pipeline.
commented 2016-01-29 21:52:29 -0500
Michael -That is available on network TV why are you watching here, is it because they are suspect of bias
commented 2016-01-29 21:49:56 -0500

It’s hilarious that you think Ezra Levant would have a hope in hell of becoming Prime Minister.

In case you didn’t know and you probably don’t since you are an Ezra fan, but he was voted as one of the most hated Canadians. In other words, most Canadians can’t stand him and would welcome his death – so they certainly wouldn’t vote for him.
commented 2016-01-29 21:46:05 -0500

Those things have been covered ad nauseam. It’s nice to have some variety when it comes news and information. Could you imagine 60 Minutes for example doing the same story over and over and over again?
commented 2016-01-29 21:42:28 -0500
@ Michael Mann
It beats the hell out of having to listen to JT, Mr. Ed and all the other liberals, and ndp, with their lies about, well, everything.
“Ezra Levant for Prime Minister”
I’ve been dropping that line on the CBC site – I’m sure it’ll get censored.
commented 2016-01-29 21:26:56 -0500
Michael -Just what other subjects are more important than the possible breakup of the country and the importing of potential terrorists who are causing so many problems in Europe and demonizing the only province that has paid most of the bills of the eastern provinces.
commented 2016-01-29 21:17:18 -0500
Is it possible to spend maybe a week and talk about something other than oil, Alberta and hating Muslims? I mean switch it up and cover other things – there is certainly more important things to talk about going on in the world.
commented 2016-01-29 21:10:07 -0500
With separation the east could benefit as they would have to develop their own resources and quit relying on the west to pay their bills.
commented 2016-01-29 21:06:50 -0500
We need western separation as it is the only option we have if we are to have prosperity in the country. The false god of climate change has to be stopped. Even if carbon is a problem which I feel that it is a huge hoax we are contributing only 1.5% and the man made part is only 0.04%. Why are we killing our economy in it’s tracks? Seems to me to be a quest for pixie dust or unicorns.
