3 BIG reasons Western Canadian pipelines are doomed

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Host | The Gunn Show

The Northern Gateway pipeline from Bruderheim, Alberta to the west coast of BC is dead, murdered by Trudeau even after it was approved by the NEB.

The Energy East pipeline from Edmonton to the east coast is dead too, strangled by a government that changed the game half way through the approval process.

Kinder Morgan’s pipeline expansion to Vancouver is on life support and the Liberals don’t seem to care.

The only Canadian export pipeline with even a remote chance of surviving to completion is the Keystone XL pipeline -and that will be thanks in no small part to the push by the Trump administration to repeal regulation and get the deal done.

But why? Canada has the third largest oil reserves in the world behind Saudi Arabia and Venezuela, and we've got a highly trained workforce as well as extensive safety and environmental standards.

So why is it that instead of Canada being poised to become an energy super power, we can't even get our product to market?

I think are there are three reasons and I’ll share them with you in my video today.

Joanne, at this point that is the least we could do. If they won’t let us export on any significant level,or refine so we get a decent price on the market, at least let us take full advantage of our resource domestically, but they won’t. Canada has made a deal with the devil and importing Saudi oil (and some American and Venezuelan) is all a part of the deal.
Why do environmentalists ignore this?

I wish Justin would heed your advice and invest in Canada instead of spending our money on his (Sophie, Butts, Telford’s) pet global projects.

How about we quit importing Saudi oil and start refining and using our own. You are right; we have large deposits in Canada. The refineries could be right by the well sites. That way we would be sending oil, not crude oil, through the pipelines. That way we would keep all the proceeds in Canada instead of just getting the bits and daubs of the funds. That way we would supply thousands of Canadians (and immigrants) with work.

Take that money (taxpayers dollars) that the government is sending to other countries so they can have abortions, the money sent to the Clinton Foundation, and all the other pet projects of this PM and invest it in Canada. That is how we will keep Canada strong. That is how Canada will advance.

Clearly not all First Nations are being respected or represented.

http://business.financialpost.com/commodities/energy/an-unjustified-infringement-first-nation-sues-ottawa-british-columbia-over-oil-tanker-ban

The Lax Kw’alaams Indian Band says it filed a civil claim in the Supreme Court of British Columbia. It seeks to declare Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s tanker ban “an unjustified infringement on the plaintiffs’ aboriginal rights and title.”

“The Lax Kw’alaams are among 30 First Nations that launched a GoFundMe campaign in January to challenge the tanker ban in court .”

Now that the NDP and Lieberal governments have strangled the Alberta economy to death, where is all the welfare money for Quebec and the other 8 have-not provinces going to come from? Who is paying the useful idiots and politicians to stop the pipeline(s)? Follow the money from who sells oil to Asia and you will have the answer.

And that’s the absolute “nuttiness” of it all Sheila!… I take my Cairn Terriers any day and walk the beaches from East Sooke, to Muir Creek, to Jordan River here on the west coast of Vancouver Island, and watch the tankers coming down from Valdez, Alaska to the Cherry Point refinery in Washington State, seemingly every other hour, plowing the waters of the Straits of Juan de Fuca… The SAME waters that the Canadian “eco-nuts” are trying to “defend” by NOT allowing the vastly more secure pipelines to be built!?!?… It’s the very definition of “madness”.. But hey; it all probably does make sense if your are tokin’ pakalolo on a daily basis, and have done so since daddy’s day in the 1970s…

There’s only one big reason, and that’s because communist lunatics are running the asylum. Today an insurgency of communist eco terrorists have taken over. and tied themselves to the office doors of Kinder Morgan in Calgary, and the police run in there to protect them. Rather than going in and putting a bullet in their communist heads and putting an end to it, which would also put a stop to any future acts by these communist eco terrorist who are trying to destroy the economy.

Daryl Herman, the main reason we here in North America end up with “lunatic c**ts” like Berman, is that anyone can run for Public Office, no matter how un-qualified they are for the job! EVERYONE who is considering running for Public Office MUST be required to pass a test showing that they have the necessary qualifications, real-life experience & most-importantly “common sense”!

A Country has to be run like a business, not on “feelings”! Donald J. Trump is an good example of this, although he is getting a lot of resistance from the Globalists who have “trillions” of dollars at stake, keeping the US economy where it has been since Clinton signed the NAFTA into law in the early 90’s!

And, Lance Harper, what works for me is to hit the “Post Your Comment” button ONCE & then go to another website & then come back to The Rebel. I was frustrated by multiple posts also & this worked for me.

Make no mistake our politicians have been bought off. Big OPEC money does not want Canadians to be energy self sufficient. No matter how many regulations are met more will be put in place.
Yes it is true no other energy except our Canadian oil has these never ending regulations UP-stream downstream gender carbon taxes. No foreign bastards are subject to this extortion.
Why, because Canada would be an economic power house if allowed to develop our own resources. Hundreds of billions is what it is worth. This government is trying to steal our resources and money to sell to their friends and keep those tankers of uncle Pauls hauling Saudi oil up the ST.lawrence. Sending billions out of Canada, no tax paid to Canada.
Quebec
Whales be dammed let them get killed by tankers ans eat raw sewage. ERR ahh we have no idea what is killing the whales lets study it for a million or two. Er ahh it will require more study.
Pipe lines have a way better record for oil spills than tankers and rail cars. Time to clean house.
Turdo and friends for treason.

A very good analysis Sheila. Without a strong and supportive Federal government position on developing Canada’s resource sector it will never happen. And currently with Gerald Butts running the show the Liberal government is chasing the fantasy of a non-carbon based economy. Butts and Trudeau are hardly deep thinkers, English literature grads, steeped in ideology and shallow in the practicalities of life. Their incompetence is becoming legend. The Legend of Stupid.

Looks like G.Soros has told his lap dog G.Butts to turn that big wing nut on the top of Trudeaus head some more.

I wonder what the left wing twats will do when they realize there is no way to pay for their free stuff because they have killed off the Golden Goose?

It’s time we evict all these demonic saboteurs from the global seance table! That POS PM TruDope (& his bum Butt buddy) needs to be held in contempt of all common sense the world has to offer. Along with all these Marxist POS in governments everywhere – NOTE to all concerned: We are coming for your sorry, sick befuddled a**es!
commented 2018-03-22 23:51:53 -0400
Eh, Sheila, many of the oil-patch engineer people I’ve worked with over the past 20 years in north western Canada have unanimously said – that there is more oil / gas in northern Alberta than any other place in the world!! What gives?
Nutley is a Marxist moron – as is TruDope & his Butts bud and that Berman is an absolute lunatic Saboteur POS – needs to be down there “replenishing” the supply.
commented 2018-03-22 23:43:25 -0400
What a f**king mess, our government is undermining Canadian prosperity, and, supporting the unethical oil trade. We can thank Gerald Butts for the rapid advancement of our demise, he is not alone in all of this, but , he is a principal player.
Trudeau remains a mallelable front man for UN globalist agenda.
commented 2018-03-22 23:39:42 -0400
Why are American anti Canadian oil allowed to fund & hire protesters to do their dirty work? That last ruling about the oil company being responsible for carbon emissions by the end user has killed all future pipelines. After they have spent billions because of delay after delay, now on top of everything else they would have that responsibility as well, is totally outrageous. The Liberals have to be defeated in the next election if Canada is to be saved, from all the BS that Trudeau & his minions have introduced & continue to do, not withstanding the billions spent to help foreigners. When I think it can’t get any worse, it does.

Moral license?? What a bunch of Marxist Bolshevik bullshit!
& put that loud mouthed POS Berman back into the GROUND! What a stupid lunatic c**t!

As soon as those who protest against oil and gas stop using both of them and the products made from them, then is the time I will believe their commitment to their cause and listen to what they have to say. Until then, I know what they can do with their protests.
commented 2018-03-22 22:38:47 -0400
So Berman wants the carbon in the ground huh? But isn’t she, like the rest of us humans carbon-based? Shouldn’t she start with herself, and ‘self-depopulate’???

The eastern double standards are totally unbelievable to you Westerners (or maybe not – after-all these are Canadian societies elites).
There is a major polluter in the Gaspe, a cement plant whose CO2 output rivals that of the largest Oil Sands producers. It was completed rather recently and approved with same logic – i.e. that project was proposed many years ago and thereby is not subject to the current Fiberal rules and policies – (that the projects owners are from one of the elitist Quebec families is purely coincidental! ).
By similar logic, major oil tanker traffic carrying “conflicted oil” could NOT be hazardous to the whale population within the narrow confines of the relatively narrow St. Lawrence, These eastern whales are really smart and tough as proven by their survival from Billion gallon raw sewage dumped by Montreal (and more regularly by many smaller cities and towns along shore).
To compensate for some of these unfair one-sided deals I suggest that all imported oil should be subject to a SIGNIFICANT import duty or better yet that the western provinces should separate from eastern Canada.
This new “country” would also help with your aboriginal problems by integrating them into regular population with-out the special privileges they now hold.

12 Noon Global Vancouver News—Horgan NDP Gov. may fall as Green Weaver will withdraw support.
The News said that Horgan offered Natural Gas Companies a reduction, or no Carbon Tax if they develop in BC.
I’ve been watching, but havn’t heard anything since.

AB needs to separate, however I don’t think the UCP will ever push that idea.
commented 2018-03-22 20:25:27 -0400
Shiela, check how many tankers fill up at Kinder Morgan weekly.
Currently there are “ONE” tankers per week, a seven fold increase is, ONE PER DAY!!!!!!!!
Give me a break!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hopefully after the next federal election, Energy East can be pushed through.
The west coast is shut down for energy exports because the NDP/Grn coalition and the Liberal opposition (leader is a Trudeau loyalist) are both pro-carbon-tax and anti-fossil fuels. It may take up to 10 years for a pro-prosperity gov’t to come to pass in BC and that could be too late since all Prairie oil will be contracted for delivery out of New Brunswick.

There is One big reason, namely, the buy in, capitulation of so-called ‘conservative’ politicians and political leaders and even the industry itself, to the notion of man-made, er, people-made climate change. If you are not against this notion, you are with it and complicit in the outcomes.

The West will never get equal treatment as the East esp. Quebec. There needs to be two separate Canada’s, Western Canada vs Eastern Canada so we have a competitive rivalry in economies, cultural and life style quality. Nothing better than competition to make the politicians perform with purpose!
