Michael Bay's Benghazi film '13 Hours' has been nominated for an award. And it's quite a ridiculous one.
The UK's Islamic Human Rights Commission has released its nominees for 'Islamophobe of the Year'.
A statement on the website reads, “Islamic Human Rights Commission have announced the nominees for the Islamophobia Awards 2016. The gala dinner features a satirical awards ceremony where those who have been the most Islamophobic over the past year are awarded for their "accomplishments". The event aims to subvert Islamophobia through comedy and revue while simultaneously addressing a serious and significant issue in a creative manner.”
The full list for movies and TV shows include Homeland, 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi, It IS About Islam: Exposing the Truth About ISIS, Al Qaeda, Iran, and the Caliphate by Glenn Beck,Tyrant, State of Affairs, Citizen Khan, Arrow and Marvel's Agents Of Shield.
For print and online media, Fox News and Breitbart are included.
And for the 'international' category nominees include Donald Trump, Ben Carson, Geert Wilders, Charlie Hebdo and even Liberal Bill Maher.
Charlie Hebdo won the award last year – despite the fact just a few months prior, its staff was murdered by Islamists for making fun of Islam's prophet Muhammad.
