#BobbyJindalIsSoWhite: Progressive hypocrisy on race hits new low

Brian LilleyArchive

As soon asGovernor Bobby Jindal announced that he running for the Republican presidential nomination, the ugliness began: A comedian started the hashtag #BobbyJindalIsSoWhite.

Because Jindal's parents are immigrants from India but he insists on not referring to himself as a "hyphenated American."

Does anybody else remember way, way back -- last week, that is -- when the same people held up Rachel Dolezal as proof that "race doesn't matter"?

Lance, that’s fascinating. So – why did Trudeau want to reduce the number of Able Bodied Anglo Saxon White Males?

I’ve always maintained that Trudeau threw open the doors of immigration, not because he believed in it, or particularly liked minorities, but rather, it was a way to reduce the percentage of Able Bodied Anglo Saxon White Males. Similarly, feminists don’t care bout women, it’s about using women to bash men, White Men in particular. This is why you see things like feminists staying mum on the Burka, wife beating, honour killings and genital mutilation – actually referring to it as “beautification”. Muslims hate White males, and that’s good enough for them. They’re simply using these ppl. They couldn’t give a rats tail about gays or trans or natives either. Any group they can use to bash Whitey, they’ll use it. They’ve always had this hidden agenda. I suggest looking at things from this angle for a few months, and see if you don’t see what I’m talking about.

Gordon, there’s no coffee to smell—only lazy commentary with unsubstantiated conclusions.

Peter, you may have missed my first comment on this thread, which addressed Lilley’s “substance” directly. The comment to which you are apparently responding was my response to Ian Stephen’s comment.

Terry, I see that you are now tearing into Brian Lilley. First Ezra, and now Brian.

What is it that you have jammed up your ass to make you so damn cranky?

Why not use the intellect I am sure you have and debate the topic of the article rather than doing the standard childish leftie “attack the person’s character”. I thought you were a mature man. I guess I was wrong.

And to Ian Stephen’s comment below—wake up and smell the coffee Ian!

This is such an important issue, and Brian, you have summarized it so well. I will be circulating this amongst my family in the United States and elsewhere. Your logic on this issue is irrefutable. As always we can count on the rebel, but I first saw this on truth revolt. I am so glad to see the rebel having an impact in the United States as well as Canada.

He’s been milking a tiny handful of themes for the last weeks without much thought, wit, or effort. I had to wonder whether he actually read the Pope’s encyclical – if he did, he certainly didn’t understand it. I have a feeling he’s bored, and perhaps embarrassed. Might be one of the first to follow Michael Coren to more respectable pastures.

To call this “progressive hypocrisy” is a huge stretch. The comedian, Hari Kondabolu, is of South Asian descent as well as are most tweeting #BobbyJindalIsSoWhite. They seem upset that Jindal is tossing away his Indian heritage rather than embracing it as they do—not that he’s conservative. How did Lilley peg @harikondabolu, @pritiryer, and @prasanto as progressive? Because they’re not white? How’s that for racism? (That last one, @prasanto, lives in India and probably has more in common with conservatives in the States than progressives.)

And to say that Kondabolu wants an America where “you’re defined by your racial identity” or doesn’t want an America where “nobody looks at what your last name is” is laughable. South Asians in North America would love Canada or America to be a country where they aren’t constantly asked where they’re from, or where they may get passed over for jobs because their last name looks “foreign”.

Once again, lazy commentary from Brian Lilley.

“Does anybody else remember way, way back — last week, that is — when the same people held up Rachel Dolezal as proof that “race doesn’t matter”?"
Gosh, Brian – pretty much all the coverage of the Rachel Dolezal story that I read – progressive, conservative, right, left – thought she was a scam. In fact, the one person who expressed the attitude you’re mocking here was Ezra Levant, in the clip you link to.

Latest from Bengaziegate It turns out that Hillary’s e’mails that she handed over to congress were not complete. Remember she said I’ve handed over ALL the e mails that I have. It turns out while congress was investigating another case they found e mails that were not included with the ones she sent to congress.
Now under the laws of the United States she is in contempt of congress and should be sent to jail for 10 years. NOW after hearing this how could any person who calls himself or herself an American if they vote for Hillary the old grand mother.

And this is a surprise to whom? The Dixiecrat and eugenics legacy lives on. There’s a reason that the rabid left doesn’t want a coherent history to be taught.

Careful what you say…unless you are on the …what side of fence?

If you’re a socialist/communist/liberal pig, then you get a pass.

Otherwise, you’re a raving anti-dentite.
