#cpc16: MP Brad Trost called “bigot” at debate about Conservative Party’s definition of marriage

Faith GoldyArchive

Emotions were running high during a breakout session about the definition of marriage at the Conservative Party convention.

MP Brad Trost tells me what happened behind closed doors.

He plans to marry that hole in the wall he’s been humping lately. But of course he’s a Bonobo Chimp, who will hump on anything just to get his orgasms.

It wasn’t changed on a whim. It’s been something that gay people have fought for – for many decades and before you were born. It ONLY became legal in Canada in 2005 and in America in 2015.

Century old things get changed all the time on a whim by the way. It’s called progress and the advancement of society. Perhaps were you just born in the wrong century.
commented 2016-05-29 13:40:47 -0400

Except it is exactly that and thus it isn’t meaningless and it actually accomplishes everything – namely stating a fact that extreme conservatives are bigots.

There is a centuries old definition of marriage, which can’t be redefined by any governments whim and desire for more votes. They can decree anything they want, the fact is they don’t have the power to change the meaning of that institution. Say what you want.

Michael Mann, your continuing name calling is getting tiresome. Just because you say it is so doesn’t mean it is.! Kinda meaningless isn’t it. So stop already. It accomplishes noting you think it does. Sort of like the self-identifying thing. What is with you lefties? Reality is a harsh master. IF a law was passed that made pitchforking babies as a means of post-natal abortion it still wouldn’t be right.

Little Mann – the jokes on you! You are one of those students that was mentally disabled by Marxists. I can tell by your childish insolence, and fear of the real truth!
commented 2016-05-29 13:15:35 -0400

It’s not that marriage is a right – it’s that gay people deserve the same HUMAN rights as everyone else and as such, they should be able to get married as well.

Gay marriage has been legal since 2005 and the sun has kept on rising everyday and it’s been business as usual. How does a gay couple getting married impact your life exactly? Why would you even care?

As for abortion – a woman having the right to choose what happens to her own body – supersedes any rights you seem to think you have. We all pay for things through taxes that we may not support – so your point is moot.

Educated by God’s word. LOL. Written by man.

Again, you should really educate yourself on HISTORY.

It really is mind blowing how so many Canadians here are bigots and homophobic for that matter. It’s completely the opposite of what a true Canadian is and it’s pathetic actually.

You should have be ashamed of yourselves as you talk as if you are from the south in America. Maybe you wish that you were and don’t actually want to be a real Canadian.

They have been using shame based bullying in our schools for years, in order to force compliance of those who don’t fall in lockstep with their marxist agenda. In order to be able to handle criticism, one must have a firm sense of themselves as an individual, and have been allowed the opportunity to learn what they believe, by making mistakes on their own. They aren’t allowed to explore and learn anymore, or ask questions, where they will receive a proper thought out answer. Instead, it is constant drip of marxism and it has literally set our society on the road to hell. They have the kids under their spell, and I’m very curious what the shrinks think about the indoctrination, and the effects on the human mind. Mind control is very real, in my opinion. Anorectics, or anyone with an eating disorder, has tricked their own minds into believing, that they see a fat and grotesque person in the mirror, but in fact the person is so thin, they are on death’s door. I know this from my own experience as anorexic!

Time to use the notwithstanding clause and put parliament supreme over the so called Supreme Court”

And who is going to do that? Trudeau certainly won’t, and I don’t see anybody with the will to do that ever winning majority control of the house. When Harper put it to open vote, in 2005, the motion to define marriage in traditional terms failed by a broad margin (123-175). 0% of NDP, 0% of Bloc, 14% of Liberals voted for “traditional”… and now we see the CPC 2/3 in favour of gay marriage. That horse has long left the barn.

The wisperin’ carrot sez: “In case you didn’t know – marriage didn’t come from God and existed long before Christianity was invented..”

Ahhh the non human logic of the vegetable kingdom – I guess this is a hot button issue in the vegetable kingdom – wanting to normalize a carrot marrying into the human species?

Actually God and his natural laws existed before gays or carrots

Peter, real definitions are not what its about. The lefties are ever and always playing with definitions of words. They (like the muslims) use words that sound like what they have always meant but they infuse them with their own twists on meaning. Always, always ask for definitions when talking to a lefty. They are a devious lot. They are always-without exception- redefining words and pushing emotionalism rather than rationalism.

The left have positioned themselves as the arbiters of what is a human right. This I can assure you, polygamy will be the next charge against traditional definitions. The influx of Muslims will start a demand to have that practise recognized in law and the lefties will do their usual shouting of bigot and “polygaphobe” to try to stifle the debate. The gays will love it since they will score a major coup: they can be “married” but no longer monogamous. Coming to a nation near you. I guarantee it. Our morals in this country are like being anchored to an iceberg. They are moving you cant tell they are moving until you wake up one day and realize that the scenery has changed.

“Professing to be wise they became fools”.

Appropriate that the press in reporting the outcome of the vote, removing a longstanding CPC policy statement that said Parliament, through a free vote, and not the courts should determine the definition of marriage, should choose a photo having Michelle Rempel front and center celebrating enthusiastically.
There is probably a lot of celebration in ‘progressive’ circles, as well, celebrating the demise of the Conservative Party of Canada.

Well, well, well.

It seems the Right is on the verge of breaking up. This poses a problem for the Rebel, doesn’t it? Which way do they go? Do they follow “mainstream” conservatives as they drift towards the centre, epitomizing a lot of what the partisans despise, but who are actually competitive in elections (and represent the bulk of potential readership), or do they follow the inevitable breakaway social conservative subgroup, who are vocal and disproportionate in the Rebel’s paid membership, yet represent a small fraction of overall Canadians and will likely be politically irrelevant if/when they do break away? Does the Rebel want to be a right leaning mass market source, or a niche newsletter for the fringe?

Until yesterday, the two overlapped enough to play both roles. Now, that’s not so clear. The cognitive dissonance in the comments will resonate right up their entire organization. I wonder what choice Levant will make? The principles vs. actually winning debate has been discussed here before, but never in such an existential context. Should be interesting to watch.

Bigot is defined as: “a person who strongly and unfairly dislikes other people, ideas, etc. : a bigoted person; especially : a person who hates or refuses to accept the members of a particular group (such as a racial or religious group)” – Merriam Webster

Did MP Brad Trost say he dislikes or hates those who are same sex married?

If not, then he is obviously not bigoted.

It is not bigoted to hold an opinion different from another person.

In his May 27 show, with respect to who the Conservative Party should listen to for advice on what it should become, Ezra pointed out that his rule of thumb is: “whatever the Globe and Mail’s editorial page says, and whatever the CBC says, is probably wrong". I would add that anyone in the good books of the even more radical left-wing Huffington Post, couldn’t be even more wrong. This month the Huffington Post carried a scandalous, offensive article claiming that Jesus Christ was the first transgender! In another article appearing a day before, the Huffington Post was pleased to trumpet that Michelle Rempel had ‘evolved’ in her thinking such that she’s strongly inclined to support the legislation, known as Bill C-16. This bill would have make it illegal to discriminate on the basis of gender identity of expression, with up to two years in prison for violators. Evolving in their thinking is something that shallow people lacking in firm principles do or closet leftists like Obama. Wittingly or unwittingly, Rempel is a pawn for the left’s agenda. Shameful to even call herself a conservative.

nothing more important to do than worry about what the gay abomination is doing? personally, I don’t give a fuck what fags do as long as they don’t do it on my property. catering to a deviant minority does not help Canadians. I am so sick of special interest groups trying to affect policy.
get off the fag-wagon and help all Canadians for a change.

By supporting Gay “Marriage” The Conservative Party just killed itself. They may as well change the part name to something else. I will not support that party or send them money.

The argument is that gay marriage is all about rights. But, as far as I know, homosexuals have always had the right to get married – they just had to follow the same rules as everybody else and marry a person of the opposite sex. No judge with half a brain could not say they didn’t have a right to marry.

What gay marriage is really all about is the normalization of homosexuality – the normalization of a perversion.

Kelly Weber: Gay marriage Does affect our society, and therefore, Does affect us.

Jan G may be on to something, suggesting that the Conservative Party was infiltrated with pro SSM “conservatives”.

Here is a great animated piece of the marriage question

he is entitled to his right to speak freely and voice his opinion in a democratic state.Too often the young people forget that part of democracy and opt for shaming which is bullying because that person does not hold the same perspective as them. And that is Fascism. If you cannot accept someone elses view simply because it is not the same as yours then you do not like democracy

Gayism, like Liberalism, is a mental disorder.

Gay marriage has been legal in this country for going on 11 years and life has gone on like it always does. I don’t care if Bob marries Joe or Sue marries Kim, it doesn’t affect my life.

I am very disappointed in Michelle Rempel. She’s the MP in my riding and she’s holding seminars for finding employment. What a joke!

For the proponent of the motion in question to count the votes would violate Bourinot’s Rules of Order, rules in place to ensure fairness. One wonders to what length the ‘progressives’ in the CPC will go to to get their way.
commented 2016-05-29 09:16:32 -0400
Poor little Michelle Rempel, driven by her emotions and feelings and not by her reason and conservative principles. Man we are in trouble if this is the norm in the Conservative Party of Canada.
commented 2016-05-29 09:15:59 -0400
It should noted that when the resolution to recognize same-sex marriage was won, a teary-eyed Michelle Rempel was jumping up and down, thrilled that the CINO agenda has made the CPC less conservative. Every time I see Rempel’s fat face, I want to punch it.

I have no doubt it was Rempel was threatening CPC MPs, like Brad Trost, calling them bigots and threatening their nominations. This is just one example of the very dangerous mindset that has taken over the CPC, lurching the party that much further to the left, and making it interchangeable with the Liberals.

As I said before, if Rempel was living in Toronto, she would be a Liberal. It is clear now that her position is not about conservative principles. It is about saving her political career.

I predict there will be a massive exodus from the CPC as the party moves increasingly away from conservative principles. In time, the party will be no different than the Liberals or the NDP.

War is coming. Be ready.

For one of the organizers to call Trost, a man who has consistently stuck to his principles, a bigot, that is, to engage in the same mindless name-calling as employed by the so-called ‘progressives’, reveals the extent to which the Conservative Party of Canada has been infiltrated by leftwing ‘progressives’.

In case you didn’t know – marriage didn’t come from God and existed long before Christianity was invented.
Maybe you should educate yourself before you speak.

I have been educated by God’s word, as far back as I can remember. It’s you who needs to open your eyes and ears to the truth, that the institution of marriage was indeed created by God himself. The God of Israel is the God of the living, not a God of the dead. Male on male and female on female is not acceptable in his eyes, and he’s condemned it. No life can be created between same sex couples, to carry on life. Read it and weep little Mann!
