“Eradicating capitalism”: Media Party ignores extremist views of NDP leadership hopefuls

Brian LilleyArchive

Did you hear about the four Canadians that want to become PM and also want to scrap capitalism?

The NDP are very upfront about their radical plans for Canada, but unlike Conservatives, they get a pass.

Watch me detail what they truly believe, based on their comments during the NDP leadership debate.

Just imagine what it will be like when nobody is working. It will be a dog eat dog nightmare, and we will be living like those in Venezuela. The global elitists will not be living in poverty, in fact they will be living in the lap of luxury, well telling us peons what to do, what to eat, and what to say. Anyone that wants to kill capitalism is essentially sending us back to the dark ages.

The more things change, the more they stay the same….

I still remember reading a blurb by the candidate from one of the communist parties in my riding from one of the elections in the early 70s. I think she was running for the Marxist-Leninist Party, as opposed to the “official” Communist Party. Her blurb repeating one theme over and over: “Make the Rich Pay!”. Her antidote to every problem was to expropriate money from the wealthy. Of course she never set a threshold defining when you became wealthy. I’ve heard many NDP campaign blurbs since then and they all make use of similar rhetoric: the better off are always going to have to do more to help those who weren’t doing as well despite the substantial taxes they are already paying. And just like the Marxist candidate I remember, they almost never say what “better off” is. Most people want to imagine that it is only the REALLY rich – the billionaires – that will get their property plundered but the socialists/communists are always pretty careful not to specify. I am convinced that if they get into power, that dividing line is going to be a LOT lower than the billionaires. I think they’re going to pick the pockets of everyone making over whatever the official “living wage” is at that time. And if they do that, they will ERADICATE the middle class. But they pretty much have to set the dividing line that low because we just don’t have enough billionaires – or millionaires – to fund the expensive programs they want.

@Peter Netterville. If you ever want an interesting experience, ask one of these hard Leftists who want to have communism in this country just what they will do differently than all the other clowns that have tried it elsewhere only to fail catastrophically. The most you will get is a sweeping assurance that they’ll do better. Try to get specifics out of them and they will change the subject or just plain run away. They have NO IDEA WHATEVER how to make communism work! They have learned no lessons from past failures. They have not analyzed those failures and figured out what was done incorrectly. They are going to do exactly what all the others have done and it will inevitably fail again just as it has every other time. You will see this with your own eyes when they are unable to specify what they will do differently than Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Castro, Pol Pot, Chavez or any of the other imbeciles that moved heaven and earth to try communism, only to see it fail. I think you will even see that THEY realize that they have learned nothing when you ask that question, although they will be too embarrassed to admit it openly.

The good thing about the NDP moving way to the Left – just as the Democrats in the US have done – is that it becomes very clear to sensible people that they absolutely do not deserve to be elected.

Come the election they’ll promise lots of free stuff and to seize the wealth of the well off and the bubble blowing slack-jawed, stoned, sexless millennials will flock to their cause.

Mark Sherman, you are correct. Socialist governments have never worked.

But that does not stop the socialists/communists from trying it again and again and again, all built on the false belief, “Oh, but all the other governments did it wrong. We will do it right!”

The socialists/communists will never learn because the theory of a perfect socialist system itself is mental disease that affects the reasoning center of the brain.

When I watched over the last number of months of all this talk of Russian collusion and far right extremism I am kind of astonished no one seems to care about what is going on inside our own borders. Rush Limbaugh shared a similar shock at the lack of alertness among Republicans. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lgd55wmgYH8

Behind every candidate lurks the UN, and they are using our money to fund, infiltrate and control all political parties, to ensure their agenda of a one world government is realized. The sheep sleep at their own peril, and humanity is hanging by a thread. I’m so glad the creator is returning to separate the goats from the sheep!

The ONLY reason these idiots have the opportunity to purvey these notions is BECAUSE of capitalism! They want to use it’s established gains to socialize everything…then will eventually reach a point where the wealth has run out and we’re a third world economy. Pure madness. Show me a place where it has worked successfully anywhere…ever? Venezuela is the most recent victim of this thinking.

A former coworker of my was a proud supporter of unions for years and forever claimed that unions created the Middle Class. He was never able to fully explain how spreading the wealth instead of work ethics created the Middle Class but then again, it wasn’t his money that he wanted spread about.

After he found out how much more money I make over at the competition (for essentially the same job), he was eager to cross the floor. My current employer pays for performance and knowledge and not years of service. So now he’s eager to abandon his union brothers in favour of making more money. I guess sharing the wealth has its limits and particularly so when it comes out of one’s own pockets.

If we look around the world the only system that has been successful is the Capitalist System. And it is the Capitalist countries that all these Minority Parasites come to, so they can bestow their socialist wisdom upon us, along with the Socialist Nutbars we already have.
Oh and the shame of it all, the fact that we have for so long been waging Genocide on the Aboriginals, in actual fact we don’t have to. They are all doing a great job of reducing their presence in Canada by themselves. They are what a Dying Culture surrounded by opportunity looks like. If they put the work effort into educating themselves, building their communities, contributing to the overall development of Canada and simply developing some ambition, instead of protesting against the hateful White Man they would have growth, freedom and have a legitimate voice. Before these members of the NDP (National Destruction Party) start promoting their bizarre socialist agenda, they should go and live in a country that has that system in place, if they can’t find one that matches their concept, there’s a reason for that.

Hope that Borat look alike is gonna run Canada for at least one term. So that many stupid Canadians will finally get cured of socialism

When I was young and stupid, I identified as a socialist. It was Chavez and Venezuela that convinced me just how bad of a stance that really was. He had good intentions, but the wealthy do not want to give up their wealth. If you try to take it by force, they will either hide their money or flee the country. If you overtax them in an attempt to fund social programs, they will either hide their money or flee the country.

All economic systems fail because of human greed and corruption. At least capitalism doesn’t generally lead to mass starvation.

And Brian, if you’re reading this, your beard is going to look great, but go lower on the neckline.

Preaching to the choir! That is, the choir, hearing exactly what it expects, wants, needs, to hear!!

Heh ha ha sweet – where DID they find these commie hillbillies? Anyone who would put this lot out as federal leaders is on a day pass from a mental institution. How in hell does this out dated perennially failed Marxist lie keep getting repacked for each new generation hoping they can put enough glitter on a cow turd that the idiots will buy it. These people live in an intellectually inbred vacuum – Klepto-statism does not work in industrialized nations or civilly evolved cultures…which is why you always see 3rd worls countrys succumb to the grip of these greedy despots.

Radical statist socialism (communism) which these Dipper morons promote is based in 2 things – theft and force – and it won’t fly here – watch the Dips become politically irrelevant with this hard line Communist agenda.

Those nutjobs are telling us that we are very bad, racists, genocide-frenzy people, and in the same sentence, they want to control the banks, our medication and the drugs we take, and everything else. Count on them that they’ll take care of us, hey?
commented 2017-07-12 20:44:29 -0400
LOL. Yeah, yeah, people who have some money will give it to the poors and the gov’t. The day those communists come into power, you’ll see at least a third of the country lining up at the border. And I’ll be one of them, along with my whole family. But since Canadians are so stupid or uninformed, it remains a possibility. So in the meantime, it may be appropriate to not keep too much cash in the bank and not to invest too much in real estate or in your home in Canada. Time to emigrate may arrive faster than we think.

Crazy for sure; I said the same about the BC NDP, and they are going to start governing BC this month.
Loser voters love freebies.

I was amazed when I saw our large Canadian TV News broadcasters present the comments from these anti-capitalistic, socialist, naive airheads, essentially with no critique, commentary or criticism. That can be interpreted that these Broadcasters do in fact support the foolishness the four NDP speakers presented. Another Canadian embarrassment and News media bias.

So all Jack Layton’s efforts to make the NDP more palatable to centrists is now up in smoke. Ancient history.

Colour me shocked…

If Singh feels so strongly about income redistribution, then he should lead by example. He could keep a third of his MP salary, which would still be a living wage, and donate the rest to at least two impoverished families to provide them with a living wage. However, like any socialist politician, when he says that “we” should all sacrifice to provide for the poor, he does not mean himself but the peon tax-payer.

It seems that the whole political system in Canada has moved to the left.
The NDP has taken over communist/Marxist territory,
The Liberals have taken over the traditional NDP socialist policies,
And the Scheer CPC has taken over the traditional centre-left spectrum from the Liberals.
If the NDP wins the next election, they’ll steal our “riches” (the extra cash/assets we worked our asses off for) and hand it over to the lazy poor!
It wasn’t too long ago that we thought communism wouldn’t have a chance in Canada, but after the last election and Trudeau’s continued popularity, I wouldn’t put it past the vast stupidity of Canadians to come out in droves to vote Communist, er, I mean, NDP.
