“Feelings crimes” banned from Toronto public libraries

Rebel Staff

On last night’s show, I shared the news that Toronto library staff can now refuse to book events that are “likely” to promote "hate."

Hate is a natural human emotion. You’re allowed to feel hate — just don’t commit a crime.

But if Toronto’s librarians think you “might” promote hate at your event, you’ll be banned from the biggest urban library system in North America.
