Apparently using the word “guys” is no longer inclusive enough in the polite society of 2018.
The latest trite first-world problem to receive feature treatment in The Atlantic magazine is the improper usage of “guys.”
In an article entitled, “The Problem With ‘Hey Guys’” we’re told:
“A broad coalition of English speakers – teachers, retail workers, ice-cream scoopers, and plenty of others – is grasping for a more inclusive greeting.”
In this day and age of innumerable genders, “guys” is apparently not inclusive or “diverse” enough.
