Justin Trudeau is the Prime Minister but he’s still considered merely the first among many equals. Yet this week, he showed utter contempt for Parliament, a place where we send our elected officials to hold the government of the day accountable.
So the answers that Trudeau gave after being questioned about his ethics problems are galling.
Watch as I show you the latest, beginning with the response Conservative MP Chris Warkentin received to an Order Paper Question asking for details of any meetings with the Ethics Commissioner and then to Trudeau’s response when the CPC MP pressed him further in the House of Commons.
Notice the simple question and Trudeau’s non-answer as he smiles smugly, showing complete disdain for the the MP asking the question along with the institution of Parliament.
It's rich of Trudeau to refuse to answer not only questions from the media and the public but he even refuses to answer questions from our elected representatives. He thinks he's above Parliament.
In failing to provide basic information to Parliamentarians, I think a solid case can be made that this is actually contempt.
How about he starts by answering some damned questions instead of acting like he is our king and we are merely peasants.
