"If you can’t stand looking at abortion images, then you probably shouldn’t support it"

Marissa SemkiwArchive

Yesterday, a pro-life group distributed flyers with a photo of Justin Trudeau along with an image of an aborted baby.

People were outraged!  How dare this activist group show me exactly what I support!

I’m offended!

How dare you confront me so forcefully with the very thing I condone!

This is ridiculous…A bunch of bible thumpers trying to take a right away from women…I support the in every area except this one. .. basing values on bronze aged gods needs to go…religion needs to go…messing with the rights of womenew to have an abortion needs to go…These sketchy faith based agendas are enough to derail and discredit organization’s like rebel media… Instead. .. push anti-theism, support birth control…and get your head out of morality law altogether…when I see “believers” trying to push their views on society, it makes me want to vomit. …and walk away from conservatives altogether.

Dan…I too have been a hunter all my life. You no doubt have been confronted by anti hunters, the vast majority of which are not vegetarians, and they have no trouble chowing down on a fat, juicy steak from the super market. They completely disassociate that piece of meat from a once living animal and do not want to be told that it no doubt didn’t volunteer it’s life. It is the same with pro abortionists. They do not want to be shown the reality of what they support.

The so-called Pro Choicers are all dumbed down, deeply indoctrinated by secular humanist materialist dogma; they are folks who cannot see the sick reality of what they promote.

Pro Choice, to be honest, should change their euphemistic name to Pro Killing

~52 million babies are aborted each year in this world. Our hospitals and clinic’s garbage cans are full of chopped up, poisoned, murdered children. All conveniently hidden from public view.
And now our mentally ill authorities are once again using yet another euphemism to hide the gruesome facts of abortion by calling “pregnancy interruption”.

When a society condones the slaughter of its own children – 99.9% for nothing more than parental convenience – that society should not be surprised when their population growth stifles, the existing population becomes mostly elderly folks and ever increasing decadence drives them towards extinction.

We are already a society of death. If the liberal idiots have their way, Canada will be giving medical doctors, all of whom have taken Hippocratic oaths – a LICENSE to KILL.

THAT is the reality !! And it could not be stated in more EXACT terms.

Truly an abomination and a flagrant contradiction of all moral principles inherent in the essential role of the medical doctor t o PROTECT and SAVE life.

Pro Choice is truly Disgustiing.
Unborn babies are NOT just a “regular part of the mother’s body” that she ought to have free choice of keeping or not.
The baby is a separate living human being INSIDE the mothers body, connected to her body and dependent on her body for survival.

Apply that insane “choice” logic to fingers, feet, eyes, …
Who in the right mind would cut off those integral body parts unless they were truly infected or damaged to the point of being lethal to the individual. And even then all amputees deeply regret losing that member.

Yes abortion kills living humans.

Does anyone think that believing it is not right or not wanting it to happen will make it stop. Lets get some legal boundaries in place. We could stop anything but very early termination, or termination under strict criteria.

I hunt. I kill animals, gut them, skin them, butcher them, cook them and eat them. Not a big deal. It’s natural. Man has been doing it for almost as long as he’s been making other humans.
I’ve seen my own flesh rent and broken. Not really a big deal. It happens.
The images of those murdered and torn human babies I can not look at with out shuddering or tearing up…kind of like when I see all those black and white photos of the all the bodies piled up in all the holocausts…only sadder and more horrific.
How can people, women, convince themselves to commit such a bloodthirsty act of savagery against some one she has helped create, inside her – for the silly, nonsensical, cowardly and morally bankrupt reasons they do?
As good and honest and important the common sense statement is: “If you can’t stand looking at abortion images, then you probably shouldn’t support it”, the far more important and immediate question to the pro-baby-murderers, and should be drilled home constantly, is WHAT ABOUT THE LIFE OF THE BABY? Make them answer that question and don’t let them off with the usual, "…phoney expressions like, “safe” abortion, “women’s reproductive health issues”, “my body, my choice”!
Can’t charges be brought against CTV for the fraud they displayed and it’s intent and effect?

It was a surprise to me to learn over the past few years that there are no legal restrictions on abortions. I think Harper has made a mistake not addressing this. There used to be restrictions, in the 70’s , I think into the 80’s. I forget exactly, but only very early term, a doctor signing off on it for reasons deemed acceptable. NO late term. I think that was 12 weeks as the limit, it could have been lower.

Women will have abortions, and if something like those past restrictions were in place, there would be less late term abortions, as it would kill the woman, if she did it back street, it becomes too risky late term. Women will, for various reasons seek to end a pregnancy. You can’t stop all abortion even if you want to. If it is law that nothing past a certain gestation period is legal, the woman has to decide whether or not she wants to risk her life having it on the street. I believe this would stop all but the very stupid to go for a late term abortion.
Its going to happen, we have to have restrictions.

I suspect that the graphic pictures of aborted babies generally used are not early term. If we stopped late term abortions we wouldn’t have to look at pictures like that.

Nothing will convince the pro choice murderers. It is their religion. They want power. Absolute power.

Jeff Keibel – “Isn’t being pro-life more truthfully about being pro-birth?”

I suppose it is, but what is the distinction you are trying to make? Both of pro-life and pro-birth are essentially synonymous.

I think when logic doesn’t work, some people need to be shocked into realization of the reality of just how barbaric abortion really is. We should all know it is an industry and has nothing to do with caring for the health of the mother. With phoney expressions like, “safe” abortion, “women’s reproductive health issues”, “my body, my choice”, all misleading women into believing abortion is harmless, a way to solve a “problem”, a woman’s “right” to have her child killed, horse manure! After all, it’s not her body we’re talking about, it’s the body within her body that’s a whole new person. Also, there’s no such thing as a “safe” abortion, it’s invasive surgery and a risk to the health of the mother.
With all the new scientific technology, ultra sound or DNA showing all the characteristics that are present right from the start, it’s mind boggling that pro abortion/choicers still ignore the fact that it is cold blooded murder and the fetus’ feels the pain of being dismembered and if anyone googles “the silent scream” by Dr.Nathanson, they will see that it knows it’s in danger and tries to get away from the instrument but there’s nowhere to go! How horrific is that! I also think there should be more information about help that’s available for frightened pregnant women who believe they don’t have a choice because there’s a lot of help for those who are students and want to finish their education, to material assistance like diapers, formula, play pens etc., if their family abandons them, a place to stay until they have their baby, counselling to help decide what to do, to keep it or give it up for adoption and more. Can’t help but think, in this day and age, there’s no logical reason for abortions but a lot of need for information to get out there. Thank God for the March for Life, all life, before birth and natural death!

Junior supporters don’t like taking a look at the reality of what Junior supports. Well, well, well…

Very good that pro lifers are showing graphic images of abortions. Whatever it takes to change a woman’s mind to save her baby’s life instead of listening to the ridiculous nonsense from the pro choice killer/abortion industry. All life is sacred, deserves a chance at life and definitely should not to be reduced to a horrific painful, screaming, shredded mess, ending up in a disgusting garbage heap.

There are medical facts that show some women who undergo an abortion: are unable to have a baby after having an abortion, get punctured bowels or other organs after the procedure and some women have even died. The pro choice infant murderers do not want anyone to know these facts because all they are interested in is making blood money from an innocent’s death and could care less about the woman or the unborn baby, obviously.

The problem your points, Tara and Alan, is they assume the person being confronted with mangled foetal photos already shares your moral perspective. My point is that in most cases they don’t. As a strategy, it’s ineffectual, if its intent is actually to change attitudes.

If they found a SINGLE live bacterium on the moon, the headline would read “LIFE FOUND ON THE MOON”. Yet a fully/partially developed unborn baby is called medical waste by the pro-choice crowd.

@terry: there’s a huge difference between supporting a standard medical procedure and murder. If someone is telling me my tax dollars should support a crime, you’re darn right they should be able to at least stomach looking at a pic of said crime.

The same people that don’t want to look at the gruesome images of abortion are the same ones that advocate for putting gruesome images of cancer on cigarette packages.

Isn’t being pro-life more truthfully about being pro-birth?

I suppose Terry Rudden would term a “Beheading” a “medical Procedure”. Or perhaps a shot-gun blast to the face? An abortion is no more a “medical procedure” than an assisted suicide with the exception that the decedent isn’t a willing participant.
commented 2015-05-14 16:22:14 -0400
The “logic” behind this particular anti-choice strategy baffles me. I wouldn’t want to watch the surgical removal of an eyeball either, but my tax dollars support that kind of surgery, and I accept a surgeon’s right to perform it and a patient’s right to request it. Medical procedures are gross. Yep, we get that.
