The Liberals' oil exploration double standard

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Host | The Gunn Show

The Liberals are considering allowing oil exploration where the St Lawrence meets the Atlantic Ocean.

Good. Any plan that gets easterners developing their own resources will have me as a cheerleader. But this proposal sure makes the Liberals look like the hypocrites we know them to be.

The Liberals canceled a NEB approved pipeline from Alberta to the west coast, the Northern Gateway Pipeline, because Trudeau said the increased tanker traffic will somehow be too risky for the waters of Northern BC (where there are already lots of tankers coming and going all the time).

But oil exploration in a marine protected area on the east coast is different, because it has nothing to do with Alberta.

A few years back, a handful of ducks died after landing on an oilsands tailings pond in a freak snow storm which resulted in the world screeching to a halt and massive fines being handed out

But thousands of fish die in Quebec's Yamaska river because of a Catherine McKenna approved sewage dump and environmentalists, or the federal government for that matter, just don't seem care.

This is typical Liberal anti-western sentiment on full display and it’s as old as Canada.

It’s the same Liberal attitude that brought us the National Energy Program in the 1980s and the Canadian Wheat Board. Liberals created two sets of rules for the country:

One that favors the east and another one that punishes the west.

I’d be in favour of western separation if we can deport all the lefties to where they belong. Otherwise it would just be starting the whole mess over again.

This goes back a long time, when Alberta did need help form the east some decades ago , one of the reasons is that the east took the products of our farms away and sold our own product back to us with their taxes and increased prices added on.

I kinda called this hypocrisy when selfie boy first used the tanker traffic excuse for stopping the pipeline – Atlantic tanker traffic (from Saudi and US sources is just fine though because the Irving boys are long time Lib patronage clients)

Remember this – now there are 3 generations of Albertans who have tasted Ottawa contempt and treachery. Vote accordingly.

You and I both Jim Currie! I’ve wanted that my whole life. If a powerful leader would take up the challenge. He would not only have my vote. But my time and financial contributions.
We could only hope Brad Wall would step up to the plate! Or possibly Dereck Fildebrant.

Stories like this how the Eastern Canadian government craps on the West makes it hard to get real enthused about Canada’s 150th birthday. It is my dream that in my lifetime I would see a separate Western Canada.

Canada is not a country, it is barely a loose federation. As posted before, my 1970’s ‘Republic of Western Canada’ farmer hat is cleaned and ready to go for the sesquicentennial.

Notley is silent because she does not want to jeopardize her O.C. and the invisible energy minister is silent because she is…invisible.

Quebec does not need to explore off-shore in a conservation zone. They can allow fracking on safe, stable land. Goes to show that the environmental idiots are anything but environmental, however are idiots.

I think McKenna; Trudeua; Notley & Coderre should swim in the Yamaska river regularly, but, more specifically after sewage dumping… they should feel right at home in all that sh%t
On second thought, add the entire Liberal caucus to my list above – have swim among the sh%t and dead fish!

In reality you can be corrupt and take a little for yourself and even somewhat hypocritical while doing things that better the country and and making it easier for the average citizen in all parts of the country, but for some reason the Libs always seem to have to screw over and marginalize certain people while being corrupt and hypocritical. It speak a lot about their character.

Liberals=filthy hypocrisy and corruption. Meanwhile they point their filthy fingers at us.

June 12, 1995, is still the most depressing day in my life. If only we had a say in it.

Seeing how the Liberals have always and continue to treat Alberta why do people wonder why so many in the West want to separate?

Trudeau is just a Big Oil flunkey.

The Libranos will only be happy when the west replaces the east as Canada’s basketcase.

I got the essence of this from a tweet by someone else:
Trudeau’s grandpa made all his money running gas stations. As a show of good faith, and to demonstrate that he’s not a hypocrite, young tater-tot should donate his entire inheritance to charity.
