“Lit” Millennials weigh in on ridding Victoria Day of “white privilege”

David MenziesMission Specialist

Canadians celebrated Victoria Day this past weekend to honour the grand old Monarch who passed away way back in 1901. Is it time to re-brand this holiday to something more relevant, or should we hang on to the old colonial tradition?

LANGUAGE WARNING:

Watch as I ask members of Generation Trudeau after dark if Victoria Day needs a makeover with a new name that doesn’t represent “white privilege”.

Billy Howard,

Papa Doc snuck in a name change for Dominion Day. Baby Doc needs to do something similar for the family tradition of disrespecting Canadian heritage. It will be either Victoria Day or Remembrance Day that he rebrands.

That was funny.
But seriously, the lack of concern over a name change gives Trudeau justification, in his mind, to change it. I just hate to think what Justin would put in its place.
