"Look more cheerful": McCallum's latest sexist comment to a Conservative woman reveals Liberal hypocrisy

Holly NicholasRebel Commentator

Michelle Rempel, Conservative MP for Calgary Northern Hills, was asking about refugees during Question Period, only to be told to "look more cheerful" by the Liberal Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, John McCallum.

Would he have said that to a man?

Meanwhile, the response of our self-described feminist of a Prime Minister? Laughter.

So what happened to all of his "equality for women" talk? Or are the liberals only champions of liberal women?

This isn’t the first time McCallum has gotten in trouble for things he’s said to conservative women. In 2003, he made a comment about Progressive Conservative MP Elsie Wayne’s sweater after she asked a question about ID for military vehicles.

You'll notice that McCallum's comments aren’t just about women -- they’re about conservative women. Liberals think that belonging to a party that supposedly advocates for women’s rights gives them a pass when it comes to their actual behaviour.

The Liberals like to say things and do the exact opposite of their stated beliefs, especially when it comes to conservative women. Because it’s 2015.

PM Harper wasn’t perfect but hands down he was thousands of times better than this empty-headed traitor to Canada. This empty head isn’t even in charge, he just shows up with that dumb look on his face and pretends he’s a real elected leader, when in truth our systems, that are loaded with left-wing users, enabled this nut to be PM of Canada. All funded and directed by the UN through our mafia run unions. Harper loved his country and cared about Canadians, Junior cares about destroying Canada, and taking away what real Canadians have built because he is narcissistic freak, and a simpleton.

Care to tell us what you really think? ;-)

I suspect not one person writing here – other than possibly the islamic writers with fake names – have ever lived under the rule of a dictator.

I have.

I also helped depose one of them – not a fun task – especially as it was carried out with “world approval”

I can assure you that Harper was not a dictator.

However – could one of you perhaps tell me how wonderful any of the islamic countries run by a real dictator – even those with a fake election mandate – is therefore by definition “better than Canada”?

That Harper was a dictator is simply a tale told by left leaning people and lame stream media.

I can also assure you that it is easy to subvert the rule of law of a democracy.

islamics are slowly but surely doing that to Canada by using the “Canadian constitution” – which was written for those who have a work ethnic, an honourable code of life and a belief that all are created equal – against the very people who feed them.

Watch – wait and see what happens in Eurabia – it is coming to Canada.

In the meantime the islamics will happily continue to drain Canadian taxpayer resources – medical, dental, food, clothing, legal, housing and more.

Can someone give me 5 benefits that have come to Canada – 5 things that benefit every person in Canada – from the diseased, dysfunctional family unit, illiterate, no marketable skills, islamic welfare recipients that have been allowed into Canada over the past 10 years?

Truth is not a bad thing – it is simply the truth.

But it is made into hate speech by those who would subvert that truth – when in fact it is the truth.

There is no net benefit to Canada to bring islamics here – however there is a huge potential net downfall.

Many who see it are afraid to say it in public – so they are frozen onto silence by fear of being run into kangaroo courts or by violence – as demonstrated in Calgary by ungrateful islamics last year.

So much for that freedom of speech option.

Peter asks how Harper was a dictator – Easy: No one in government was allowed to say anything without his approval, and he did his best to wrangle control over every part of government. Towards the end, he started trying to run our constitution into disrepute (but failed), presumably so as to normalize use of the notwithstanding clause.
He’s easily the closest thing to a dictator this country has ever had. Harper: a Canadian dictator.

When it comes to the mainstream media, even a stopped clock is right twice a day. And in the case of the sun news staff looking angry, they are right.

I mean, come on. The Sun News channel will always be remembered for Ezra’s elongated rant on Gypsies. I just love how Ezra had to apologize twice for it.

McCallum’s increasing senile outbursts are like watching the fuse on his liver burning down just prior to detonation – do like PM selfie does and keep a safe distance from him at all times unless want to be covered with decades of Liberal mendacity when his liver goes off.
commented 2015-12-12 21:04:08 -0500
Yannie you friggin moron there was an apology so obviously somebody felt they did something wrong.
commented 2015-12-12 21:01:22 -0500
Yannie how was Harper a dictator. I really don’t expect an an answer because as per usual with left wing ilk they can only conjure up enough intellect to parrot what they have already heard.
commented 2015-12-12 19:04:05 -0500
there isnt much doubt about the arrogant adolescent elitist being an airhead..but he and the other fascists do love the peasants who give them their mindless support…oh look there is yannie..

What I find offensive is that, if a Conservative or God forbid Harper was so ignorant the leftys would be calling for him to be taken out back and hung, or the very least be fired and run through the Social Media wood-chipper (as Sheila Gunn Reid so aptly puts it) . Not to mention a full head on assault from the media cartel demanding an immediate National Enquiry into the matter. But hey, when it’s a drunken, old time Librano, with a history of this behavior it’s, nothing to see here, move on, koombyeyah. Of course expect no apology from the head Lisper.

Just think we have 4(four) years of this. One good thing is though we may have pot on the streets so we can all get stoned. Now that is a ray of sunshine.
commented 2015-12-12 10:25:35 -0500
Is this what passes as political leadership?
commented 2015-12-12 10:13:26 -0500
Deborah Graupner, you don’t have any rights? Not even the right to make a fool of yourself on this page? Harper was more of a dictator than anyone you mentioned.
commented 2015-12-12 10:03:40 -0500
Between Junior and Notley, I’m not sure which one is the bigger dictator! They seem to be running neck and neck in a race to destroy capitalism, for those who have an evil agenda planned for us. I’ve never seen so many changes rammed through without even a second thought. We the people no longer have any rights, other than those bestowed upon us by our new dictators, and their empty-headed minions.

Honestly, how can anyone look cheerful when they are facing a ruling party that seems to be embarrassing Canada more each day. Shameful.
commented 2015-12-12 09:30:11 -0500
How is asking anyone to look more cheerful sexist, especially when there are no gender connotations in that phrase. I’m sure if I asked the rancid-minded jerks on this site to do the same, I’d get a pitchfork in the neck, exactly what one of your types want to do to Notley.

Sam, not everyone shares the same Liberal attitude of “sunshine”, rainbows, unicorns, and drinking lots of that kool aid.. Thanks for stating the obvious that the MSM lives in that same liberal utopia. Michelle Rempell asked a valid question that concerns many Canadians. McCallum demonstrated true liberal form by throwing back insults instead of facing up to the fact that he has no idea what the hell he is doing in his job. Sure lets all lighten up when there is another mass killing! We will see who is laughing then.
commented 2015-12-12 05:37:22 -0500
John McCallum asks the opposition to lighten up.
Good advice.
commented 2015-12-12 04:23:27 -0500
McCallum is a disgusting piss tank drunk. GLUG GLUG GLUG McCallum – keep chugging that booze. Cirrhosis of the liver is not far off. Look forward to the day you drop dead McCallum.
commented 2015-12-12 03:23:47 -0500
Good Question! Should women members of the Conservative front bench look more upbeat or positive? They are facing a Liberal government bench of 15 men and 15 women. Yeah, they should look happier.
commented 2015-12-12 02:23:39 -0500
Did the rebel really need to make two separate videos on this one little harmless incident?

On the topic of cheerful, did you know that the mainstream media used to criticize the sun news staff as always looking and sounding angry? Maybe conservatives do need to be more cheerful.
commented 2015-12-12 02:13:54 -0500
Rebelation, I’m still on the fence on this one.

On the one hand I agree with you that liberal hypocrisy is egregious and that by saying nothing we may be enabling it; on the other hand I think (a) that we should spend our (limited) time discussing more important issues and that (b) we shouldn’t be making hay over a political-correctness sin if we don’t believe in political correctness in the first place, it seems hypocritical, or in the very least disingenuous.
commented 2015-12-12 00:50:32 -0500
Just another prime example of Liberal hypocrisy, from the Clown Prince and his merry band of minions.
commented 2015-12-12 00:19:25 -0500
Spencer. I agree he was dismissive, rather than sexist, but I disagree that con’s do the same or we should let it pass. Their super arrogance should be pointed out at every opportunity. You have to accept that the masses are ignorant bullies, and standing up to them at every turn is the way to go. You get no points in this society for taking the high road.
commented 2015-12-11 23:06:33 -0500
Well maybe they will be honest transparent and fair in 21 days … because that’s 2016!
commented 2015-12-11 22:46:52 -0500
Glory Glory, the Gods have returned. McCallum must be the God of Inebriation, was he half drunk or half sober? He couldn’t even see straight. These Goons have learnt well from their Muslim Masters. The worth of a woman is only half that of a man. Muhammad’s words, not mine. Gender equality, my arse.
commented 2015-12-11 22:18:52 -0500
He was rude and dismissive, but not sexist.

Listen, I hate McCallum as much as the next guy, I think he’s a complete moron, but we’re conservatives; we believe in unadulterated free speech, both in the streets and in the House of Commons, and we abhor political correctness, seeing it as the obfuscating veil that it is, even if it occasionally works to our advantage.

Why are we settling for the low-hanging fruit? There are dozens of ways to embarrass this man simply by revealing his own cognitive dissonance or his incredible lack of knowledge, should we really be wasting our time debating about whether or not his comment was “sexist” or not? Should we even care? No, there are more important issues at play.

It’s ironic that many of you blast the liberal media for preying upon Tories purported “sexist” remarks, and defend them (and rightly so); yet when the tables are turned how quick do you gnash like hounds. How can we stand against liberal hypocrisy when we are the same?

Do not fall into this trap: we have hearts to empty and minds to fill, and playing political games will endear us to few, and educate none.

Pompous asses always fall hard. And this crop of narcissists surely will.
