You’d think that a couple of entrepreneurs launching a new business in a depressed area of town would receive applause from the local city councillor. But not if that councillor is leftist-loony Pam McConnell. And not if the business in question happens to be a – gasp – target range!
Here’s the deal: across the street from Toronto’s Regent Park, Mark Richardson and Kevin Huether are opening their latest STRYKE Target Range. Sounds like fun to me. Lots of air guns and so on. I’ll show you some footage…
But Pam McConnell says this area is “quite a poor choice of location,” given the community’s past struggles with violence.
Memo to Pam McConnell: gangbangers use Glocks, which fire real bullets. They don’t bother with airsoft guns which propel nonlethal, non-metallic pellets.
How pathetic. Richardson and Huether should be lauded for investing in this area of Hogtown and creating jobs to boot.
