A month ago, we broke the story that Brent Dancey, the chief of staff for Alberta's NDP Minister of the Environment and Status of Women, was a violent convicted criminal.
I found out about Dancey's conviction through a tip, filed a request for his records at a Regina courthouse, and a clerk handed them over.
It's called "journalism" -- but other Canadian reporters are less interested in how and why a convicted violent criminal from Saskatchewan got a powerful job with the new Alberta government than they are in how I got hold of these papers!
The Media Party is either silent about this revelation about who is working for Rachel Notley, or outraged over my acquisition of Dancey's record. (After all, Dancey was subsequently pardoned and those records were supposed to be sealed.)
Some of them think it's some kind of conspiracy. Of course, it was just a clerical error, but that won't stop Canada's Media Party from making this story about me -- complete with big photos of yours truly -- instead of Dancey, Notley, her "amazing" shoes and her anti-oilsands crew.
