“Mouseland”: NDP MLA reads “socialist propaganda” to school children

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Host | The Gunn Show

An NDP MLA took advantage of reading week to read socialist propaganda to captive audiences of Alberta school children.

Nielsen toured Alberta schools reading to kids of all ages, seven schools in two days. Normally, it’s hard to screw something like this up. Kids. Books. Reading. No problem.

Except Nielsen was reading the kids Mouseland, a book based on a pro-socialism speech given by former CCF and NDP leader Tommy Douglas.

If you haven't heard of Mouseland, then count yourself lucky.

But there is no way this is just an innocent non-political child's book.

Don't believe me?

Watch my video to hear Douglas’ grandson Kiefer Sutherland explain it and to hear an excerpt of Mouseland as told by Douglas himself.

The book teaches kids that other political parties are self-serving and bad and only the NDP can save us from those mean and corrupt other parties.

You can read it in under six minutes, making it the ideal brainwashing tool.

The NDP are in the middle of a massive education curriculum rewrite.

Do you trust the NDP to keep their politics out of it?

Sutherland was doing drugs and drinking at that time in his life. Just another hypocrite.
Tommy Douglas, geez Louise. Where to start?
Leave those kid’s alone!

JACK RILEY:- “Presenting political propaganda in classrooms should be absolutely outlawed.”… Indeed it should… But the fault lies with school boards and school administrators who are more than eager to accommodate children being INDOCTRINATED from a young age… School boards have been the training camps for leftie politicians across Canada for decades now… That’s why school board elections need careful scrutiny rather than just being glossed over during municipal elections, as they are much too often now…

“Brazen” is the word for it. How did this nimrod get into these classrooms in the first place? Was he invited and by whom? That the school administrators allowed such an activity is also beyond the pale. They should be taken to task and held accountable. Presenting political propaganda in classrooms should be absolutely outlawed.

Tommie the commie’s immortal warning in this allegory was “beware the little man with an idea” Once you understand Tommie’s “idea” was the lie that mouse governments are as unfair to cats as cat governments are to mice, the this idea is exposed as what we now call “the big commie lie”

Tommie further warned us that “you can lock up a mouse but not an idea” was a cryptic allusion to the fact that a utopian lie dies hard. Now the globalist political cartel (corporate feudalism) has coopted Tommie’s utopian lie to fool all the cats and mice into accepting eternal slavery as progressivism.

Great shades of Communist Eastern Europe in its day… The “benevolent” Central Committee School Inspector coming to lecture the kiddies and to check for any dissident voices…

Hyacinth the left is pretty much a mix of Nazi and Commie these days, they would have us all jailed or dead if we do not do as they say.

Another actor to boycott..
Kiefer Sutherland is not really a Canadian when he only comes home long enough to vote and then leaves the country for 4 more years.!!

Lefties are always in favour of things until they get their way. Then they lose all interest. I remember the demands for freedom of speech in the 60’s. Not no more. They got THEIR freedom but the universality of it was only a smoke screen. They didn’t want the children politicized until they got in power. Suddenly the children were just receptacles for the leftist pablum. But no one else should be allowed to do the same.

The lefties wanted open debate on the issues like abortion. Until they got their way. Then the “issue has been settled”. If they don’t get their way the issue is open for debate.

The moral of the story is that they are playing the fair play loving conservatives for fools. And we never learn.

Space moose… that was terrific.. it’s really too bad Mr Wall is getting forced into retirement by the power brokers behind the scenes.. I guess he has been a thorn in their ass for too long now and they are confident of their political position so the smart thing was to do was retire rather than suffer the consequences of their anger for noncompliance.!!

Did he lecture about eugenics also… it was a topic promoted by T Douglas.

Space Moose, thanks for the link.
Brad Wall’s Epilogue to Mouseland was full of truth.

Molly Gray, if parents are notified, it is likely that it is in the context of a politician coming to the school to celebrate reading week; I doubt there is more information than that. If Administrators provide additional information, it is probably lost in the hype of a visiting politician making time for their school. Should there be full disclosure, how many parents are researching ahead of the “indoctrination”? If some do, they can sign their child out of this activity. The school must provide an alternative space for the child to work on another assignment or independent study. If the school refuses to provide this alternative, the parent can remove their child from school for the duration of the “reading” and comments/questions afterward.

Are parents aware of the materials being read to their children? If so, are they allowed to remove their children from such exposure.

Sure to be mandatory reading as part of the socialist NDP’s curriculum rewrite.
Indoctrination is what socialists naturally do when they get a hold of your kids.
Give me four years to teach the children and the seed I have sown will never be uprooted.- Vladimir Lenin.
We must create out of the younger generation a generation of Communists. We must turn children, who can be shaped like wax, into real, good Communists…. We must remove the children from the crude influence of their families. – Communist Party Education Workers Congress (1918).

Interesting how the political left continually claim that the political right are Nazis, KKK, etc., when reality shows the complete opposite time and again.

The left have tried to rewrite history from claiming that the KKK was a right wing invention to claiming Nazism was a right wing invention, but time and again they themselves pull stunts straight out of the pages of actual history and put it into use this day and age.

“National Socialism started as a political movement in Germany in 1919. Its official name was the “Nazionalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei” (National Socialist German Workers’ Party); it soon became popularly known as the Nazi party, and its followers were called Nazis.”

“From the 1920s onwards, the Nazi Party targeted German youth as a special audience for its propaganda messages. These messages emphasized that the Party was a movement of youth: dynamic, resilient, forward-looking, and hopeful. Millions of German young people were won over to Nazism in the classroom and through extracurricular activities.”

I wonder if Nielson prefaces his readings with the fact that socialist saint Douglas wanted to practice sterization on little children who he thought should not exist.

Also, it is hilarious that Kieffer is against the fat cats when he inherited his Dad’s rewards, and developed a modest career on Daddy’s back and Gramp’s notoriety. Actually, I don’t think Mom Douglas did so bad for herself either. Hypocrite like them all.

“To the Hesitating Purchaser”

If sailor tales to sailor tunes,
Storm and adventure, heat and cold,
If schooners, islands, and maroons,
And buccaneers, and buried gold,
And all the old romance, retold
Exactly in the ancient way,
Can please, as me they pleased of old,
The wiser youngsters of today:

— So be it, and fall on! If not,
If studious youth no longer crave,
His ancient appetites forgot,
Kingston, or Ballantyne the brave,
Or Cooper of the wood and wave:
So be it, also! And may I
And all my pirates share the grave
Where these and their creations lie!

“The book teaches kids that other political parties are self-serving and bad and only the NDP can save us from those mean and corrupt other parties.” The sad fact is that the NDP suffer from a bad case of Pure Projection. They have never been n charge of a provincial economy that they didn’t run into the ground. Would you fly with a pilot cannot do simple math? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fqq4_9aGr6U

The school boards who support this reading of Mouseland are negligent & spurious. I agree with Deborah, parents should complain to school Administration and the School Board.

Parents need to press charges against these lunatics that seem to think they can spout whatever they want to our children, and call it education. I call it brainwashing!
