“National Farmer’s Union” opposes rural self-defence? Turns out it's an NDP front group

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Host | The Gunn Show

The Saskatchewan Association of Rural Municipalities, or SARM, is trying to make it easier for farmers and rural residents to protect themselves from criminals.

At SARM’s annual convention, delegates voted in favour of a resolution calling on the federal government to “expand the rights and justification for an individual to defend or protect himself, herself, and persons under their care and their property.”

Seems pretty reasonable to me. Farmers work alone and rural crime is on the rise on the prairies as the economy worsens.

Who on earth would be against making it easier for people to save their own lives when help is often over half an hour away?

Well, the National Farmer’s Union does.

I started looking into who this self defence hating NFU group is, and it turns out they're an NDP front group and you don't even have to be a farmer to join!

Watch my video to see all the crazy things the NFU supports.

(Hilariously, CBC used them as their “go to” counter voice for farmers...)

Hats off to your step Dad! Very smart man. If the government only knew how many people are of the same resolve – they’d pee themselves and go away crying at their stirring up a hornets nest!
My Grandfather was the same and he also was very emphatic that I learn to never trust any government. He came to Canada just before the Russian Revolution. His accounts of his experiences still to this day – perplex my mind and are the subject of nightmares!

Don’t ever give up your guns because you are going to need them. When the liberals were making laws to protect criminals, and throwing the victims under the bus, I knew that wasn’t going to be a good thing. Then came the gun control registry, and I remember my step-father, who was a SK farmer, saying that over his dead body would he ever voluntarily give the government any information about his guns. And he never did! That gives me hope that many were like him, and never registered their guns, so the government has no idea who has them, and where they are stored.

Well we all have guns in this part of rural Sask., even the liberals. Nobody’s gonna protect us but us.

SARM MAY HAVE STARTED OFF WITH QUESTIONABLE BEGINNINGS BUT I CAN SEE THAT THE EVOLUTION OF THIS ORGANIZATION IS MORE ABOUT FREEDOM THAN IT IS LOBBYING FOR PROFIT.!

Gun owning law abiding citizens present absolutely no threat to other law abiding citizens… gun free zones are targets for criminals and other sub humans who wish to do harm on innocent people Because they know there is nobody there to stop them and the authorities usually only arrive after the fact to take bodies away and to take statements from survivors.
I don’t think there was ever a time in history where murderers and thieves bothered to take the time to obtain a gun permit before going on their murderous rampages.. unarmed citizens are targets and resources for the criminal element who would do them wrong. The statistics are out there for every country who practices gun control… Either the crime rate goes straight up and through the roof because only the criminals have guns or the country evolves into a armed dictatorship who through violence and aggression subvert the people… the lessons of gun control should be represented by cold hard facts that speak for themselves in a positive light and not based on knee-jerk reactions or crying emotions that have no place in objective and critical thinking.
If gun control worked then police would not ever need to be armed.. Taking guns away from law-abiding citizens does not take guns away from criminals or do anything to help us it only leaves us defenseless to protect ourselves from a threatening element.
Switzerland has an automatic military style tactical rifle Tucked away with ammunition in almost each and every household… Nobody bothers to mention that it has one of the lowest violent crime rates in the world.. And they as law abiding gun owners don’t run around shooting each other up.

Rebelation,
’I really don’t know who the government think they are, telling us we’re not allowed to do so. Oh we have laws that say we can, but you’ll still be charged if you do, and quite possibly convicted."
I know you know this already but it is worth repeating; Inside every lefty is a tyrant screaming to get out.

Every critter on the planet will – quite naturally – defend itself whenever the need arise. That instinct resides in humans as well. I really don’t know who the government think they are, telling us we’re not allowed to do so. Oh we have laws that say we can, but you’ll still be charged if you do, and quite possibly convicted. We’ve all heard the stories. This is because Lefty’s suffer from backwards-brain, they think the criminals are the good guys and the victims the bad guys!

If you raise pigs…or if you have experience preparing beef, deer, or other game for the freezer…..and you have eagles, hawks, ravens, magpies, buzzards, even crows….you need not feel obliged to involve the NDP at all if they insist on being THAT unreasonable…..:-)
commented 2017-03-22 22:49:33 -0400
there is only one answer to this and i think you already know what i am going to say. why beg for permission to defend yourself. just remember how easy it is to get rid of a body on a farm yard. if nobody has figured that out yet we are going nowhere with this subject. quite frankly i happen to have a freezer that could use a little more in it and i didn’t fill any of my deer tags last year…..do you get where i’m going with this yet?…..good.

the national farmers union…all for the cwb being mandatory…for western farmers…the should have called it the western cwb…not mandatory for farmers east of Manitoba…wayne easter, a ‘farmer’ from PEI was very much in favour of keeping the cwb mandatory when he was president of the nfu…i’ll bet most of the membership consists of ‘urban farmers’…

Althought the Castle Doctrine is not a lawful thing in Canada and many states – don’t allow yourself to become influenced by the MSM rhetoric & Libtarded laws – more people are armed to the teeth -more than what "they"want to acknowledge or know about! …and should this Lieberal insanity continue – the resulting strife these Libtards & their “enforcers” cause – will be much harsher than that of their bum buddies of the Islamic persuasion! Don’t believe for a minute that us Western Patriots are less dangerous than those satanic demons -the jihadists!

SARM is a sub-group of the federation of Canadian Municipalities which is simply a socialist political lobby/pressure group formed to shake down the feds for payola projects on behalf their metropolitan patrons. But in the past decades they have also provided leftist federal governments with support for authoritarian leftist policy.

I Guess SARM is a double dose of Wheat field Commie agitatotors

Further to the excellent points raised by Leviticus 2013, there have apparently been court rulings in the US to the effect that police are not obligated to come to the assistance of citizens needing help. I don’t mean to imply that police do not ordinarily help people in the US, just that they are not legally obligated to do so. I’d be very curious to know if the police have that same latitude to decline to come if we call for help in this country.

I strongly agree with the Castle Doctrine, which is the law in several US states. We need such a law in every Canadian province and territory. As I understand it, in US states that lack the Castle Doctrine, you can be prosecuted for standing your ground and defending yourself and your family: apparently, those states expect you to run and hide and hope for the best. I strongly DISAGREE with that approach. We should all be able to defend ourselves and our loved ones without risk of standing trial on serious charges.

By the way, as I understand it from American blogs I’ve read, the phrase “When trouble is just seconds away, the police are minutes away” actually originated among police officers who acknowledged the reality that they simply aren’t going to be within a block of your home when you call 911: it’s going to take them some time to get there, time you may not have. That means we each need to have the ability to defend ourselves until the police get there. A gun can be a great deterrent to the bad guys harming you while you wait for the police.

This organization might have considered a name like "Canadian Farmers Association " rather than the one whose last word ‘Union’ clearly identifies their left-leaning positions.

Castle law
If it’s not legal to defend yourself then the government needs to be held criminally responsible if you get hurt or killed.
If the police cannot protect the citizen at this stage of our social development, and if they are not legally liable to do so –  Then It is up to the private citizen to protect himself and his family and his fellow citizens from criminal attack in the immediate absence of police intervention, this is not only constitutionally acceptable, but morally mandatory.
When seconds count the police are only minutes away. If we can save just ONE life in our effort it has been worthwhile as self defense is not a crime.
Please support castle law and open carry  for responsible citizenship and a safer community.

Whenever both National and Union are in a title, one knows it is a regressive left organization.

I imagine this group’s main goal is to obtain government subsidies for unprofitable ‘organic’ methods on hobby farms. Plus regulations to force consumers into buying their second rate produce. Plus lobbying for tax deductions for their excessive costs incurred by their inefficient methods, while lobbying for increased taxes on efficient producers of quality crops and stock. Plus any other government handout they can steal.

Exactly right Sheila. They believe that it is preferable for private citizens to die while waiting for a
government gun to save them than to use your own gun to defend yourself. What galls me is that these hypocrites probably have no problem with private citizen armoured car drivers OPENLY carrying and using handguns in public for their self-defence to protect a bag of dimes. But If you and I as private citizens want to carry and use a concealed handgun in public or even at home to protect ourselves, we get vilified.

P.s. Colonial violence is probably code for self-defence against aboriginals. This further confirms that, in the minds of leftists, skin colour entitles you to special treatment regardless of the legalities of your activity. People can’t just defend themselves for its own sake because that is a natural and right thing to do regardless of the colour of a criminal. The stupid thing is is that law-abiding aboriginals on reserve would probably benefit the most from having the ability to defend themselves with firearms.
