“New Amsterdam” trailer review: Promising new T.V. show or pitch for socialized medicine?

Ben DaviesRebel Host | Rebel Reel Reviews

It’s fall and that means every network is fighting for your viewership with a host of new shows to choose from but one show in particular, New Amsterdam, is getting a lot of love from critics because it apparently promotes socialized medicine.

Is it really a critique of the modern health care system trying to push an agenda?

Watch as I review the trailer for what looks like it could be a good show, if it can avoid becoming an unrealistic emotional pitch for socialized medicine.

We decided not to watch from the trailers. Another Mr Perfect leading the good ship Amsterdam through rough and dangerous waters, trying to make its way to safe harbour and home. Eggold with the perfect comment, perfect demeanour, perfect vision of what is right… He could fill in for Voyager’s Janeway; Interchangeable characters. Just need to make a pillar for the paragon of PC Virtue to stand upon.

How much better is this show compared to squeezing toothpaste into your ear? Guaranteed to be a big, mind numbing success.

Nicholas Conklin why was the rate much lower in the 80’s? The American system was less socialized then. I bet screen time is a bigger factor. Medical bills have many causes.

Nicholas Conklin why did that happen with Obamacare then?

Socialism works great in the fantasy land of TV & movies. It fails in reality because it is flawed to its core.

The biggest reason why Americans go bankrupt and lose everything is because they can’t afford medical costs. That’s nothing to be proud of. Maybe single payer isn’t evil.

I have see the trailer for this show several times and all I can think is “great! another shitty medical show thats trying to send some social message across”. Most of the tv shows today are like this and its why I don’t watch tv much, I want to watch for entertainment and not for sjw BS. The last medical show I watched was House because I liked Hugh Laurie, I remember him from old UK shows like Black Adder.
