Gone are the days when merchants could protect themselves from those wearing masks with a sign saying “DO NOT wear a mask in this store”. Nowadays, such a security policy might get in the way of accommodating adherents of a certain Religion of Peace.
The latest slight against Islam comes from Gary, Indiana where Sarah Safi entered a Family Dollar store fully concealed in a niqab.
Located in a high-crime area, the store has a no-disguise rule. A manager asked Safi to leave for refusing to remove her niqab. She claimed it was a religious garment and had a right to wear it. The manager said, unveil or leave. Safi left.
But that wasn’t the end...
This happened in Canada to Ryan Vale of Edmonton Shoe Repair who was the focus of viral news stories for refusing to serve Sarii Ghalab who entered his “no face mask” policy store in full Islamic beekeeper regalia.
Vale and the Family Dollar were right in trying to ensure a secure environment for customers. Those dressed like ninjas are wrong forcing merchants in the West to accept a misogynistic interpretation of their religion.
It’s sad to see good guys getting crucified on the altar of political correctness while those who are the most intolerant are championed.
