Omar Khadr "will become a celebrity of the anti-war, anti-Canadian left"

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

Unrepentant Muslim terrorist Omar Khadr was granted bail today. Khadr is dangerous, but not because he'll commit further terrorist acts.

He's much more powerful and important as a propaganda tool.

Remember when the Ottawa Citizen gave Khadr an op-ed space to criticize Canada's anti-terror policies?

That's just the beginning.

We all know how the Media Party sticks up for their "child soldier."

I also explain what experts say are the three signs a jihadist will re-offend, and look at which of these Khadr displays.

He has yet to denounce his jihad, holy war, or his affiliation with al-qaeda.
That speaks for itself as far as i’m concerned.

Amen Ezra, Amen. You are 100% right.
Why didn’t you predict his 1+ million dollar settlement? His Supreme Court of Canada extra judicial absovement of guilt? The millions of dollars Canadian taxpayers will be taxed to accomplish them? The stamp, perhaps coin, to commemorate his moment in Canadian history?
Too soon? Yeah, I agree.

After Kadhar makes his plans and plots, these people who let him out, provided bail, and support his good behaviour should be jailed for terrorism!
commented 2015-04-25 18:13:27 -0400
Actually, that would be a defining moment in his beliefs. It would add to his credibility on these thoughts and really let us see just how genuine Trudolt is. A good political move I would say :/
commented 2015-04-25 18:11:27 -0400
I think Trudeau should open his doors to him, since Trudeau doesn’t believe in terrorists.

Why is a terrorist, who killed someone, out on bail? Must be some influential muslim lawyers working behind the scenes pulling strings. That’s the only way people get out on bail and there also has to be money involved. Who came up with the bail money? I didn’t follow the whole story. He should have rotted in jail or been given the death sentence. Is the fact that he was a teenager when he was a terrorist the reason. Something’s wrong with the judicial system. Telling teenagers they can get away with murder because they don’t know what they are doing because they’re too young. But that’s another story. This terrorist was not a Canadian. Even if he was, he forfeited those rights when he chose to be a terrorist, an enemy of Canada, a treasonous traitor. In times of war weren’t war criminals automatically given the death sentence? Terrorism is war against freedom and democracy.

Our legal system and compassion without sense will be the death of us. Thank you Ezra for clarifying the reasons Khadr should not be released…

It is always interesting to examine “VICTIMS” like Khadr, to see how much public power they have in relation to the public power of their so called “VICTIMIZERS” (the Canadian people who elected their own government)…when the victims have a louder voice than the victimizer, something is WRONG….this is precisely why Khadr’s case needs serious reviewing…why has he so much more public power than do we the people?

Are the Canadian people going to benefit from his public power being released completely? If he wins the propaganda case over OUR GOVERNMENT what have we lost? If his credibility is greater than ours are we not admitting that unrepentant killers and terrorists who are increasingly attached to the cause of their hostility, actually have the moral high ground over our duly elected officials? We are not a dictatorship…the government is subject to us…so Khadr’s release in effect says that we the people have been wrong…I only hope we have been wrong about him if he gets out…but judging from his outspoken relatives we are in for it. Can he run for government when and if he gets out? If he can, what changes in our country do you think he would institute?

Hey Freethinker! you said "I don’t believe in the supernatural. I agree with current scientific theories as the best way to understand our universe. "

I am glad you said “believe”. You ‘know’ what? Scientists usually agree with current scientific theories too…until they don’t.

Science, “falsely so called” is sadly dependent on income among other things. One cannot be a successful scientist if one cannot sell one’s ideas…publish one’s research…and ego plays a big part in research in some cases as well.

“A lot of fame and money can be made by scientists who make amazing or unique discoveries, and while this generally provides a motivation for good research, it is occasionally abused.” For a list of 10 most famous cases of scientific fraud that fooled many people see:

(this is fascinating by the way)

I remember Piltdown Man…even though it was discovered false in 1952, we were still being taught it as though it was true, in university…and many modern textbooks still show Earnst Haeckels evolution embryo fraud, Nebraska Man, Java Man, Neanderthal Man, Orce Man, and the famous Lucy. All these were taught to us as fact…Archaeoraptor is a faked evolution example of a missing link. Horse evolution and the Peppered Moths are likely still being taught as fact. Bones of the ‘earliest’ horses have been found right beside bones of ‘recent’ horses….it just ain’t so. So all these facts I was taught a few years ago are now debunked…not very encouraging!

“Perhaps this can serve as a reminder that some scientific “discoveries” need be taken with a grain of globally warmed salt.” If there were just more of the billions of fossils necessary to prove the extremely slow so-called ‘macro evolution’ of molecules to man theory instead of 5-6 fossils, above that have been proved false. There just have to be billions of fossils showing the massive numbers of gradual changes in the stages of development out there if we, in fact, evolved. The earth is full of fossils..all over the earth…so what is taking so long to find REAL links? Maybe true science?

Maurice – “Having an open mind, doesn’t mean we don’t believe that we’re right and that those who hold contradictory beliefs to ours are wrong, it means that while we may believe we’re right, we’re always open to the possibility that we might be wrong.”

Worth repeating! If I may re-emphasis this point for FreeThinker.

The formation of an infinite temporal regress of events cannot exist by the addition of successive events. Makes complete sense to me, though I have never actually considered that before.

“And today I’m watching Biblical prophecy being fulfilled in the Middle East right before my eyes. "

Yes, that is very true and a point I made in another article thread. I also noted that the Christian church by and large is asleep to this fact.

Good post, Maurice

Joan Abernethy, God is the creator of the Universe and everything in it, including you and me. God’s existence can neither be proved nor disproved in a scientific sense, but can be experienced if you call on Him with a pure and humble heart. Jeremiah 29:13 says “And you shall seek me, and find me, when you shall search for me with all your heart”. Since the only things we can ever know with 100% certainty are our own existence and abstract principles of logic, such as mathematics, that means pretty much everything we believe we must accept on faith. That includes everything Freethinker believes too, by the way. One aspect of existentialist philosophy that I agree with is that we are all isolated islands of subjectivity in an objective Universe. At least I agree with that to the extent that subjectivity begins and ends with us, within our own psyche. The nature of the World around us, and the Universe, are totally Objective, as is Truth. Therefore, neither you nor I, nor anyone else, can affect truth by our belief about it; the best we can do is to be either right or wrong. I’m a Christian. I’m a Christian because I believe Christianity is the truth. That means that I must believe that every other religion or belief system about the nature of God and the Universe is wrong. Since all truth is objective and absolute, I have no other choice; I have to believe that. Those of other religious beliefs, by necessity, must believe the same about me and my religion. That’s OK; We can still respect each other, and each other’s beliefs. Having an open mind, doesn’t mean we don’t believe that we’re right and that those who hold contradictory beliefs to ours are wrong, it means that while we may believe we’re right, we’re always open to the possibility that we might be wrong. When we stop listening to other points of view we cease being open minded. When we no longer accept the possibility that we may be wrong and that other opposing views may be right, we no longer own or ideas, they own us. I came to my Christian faith through a search for truth. First: The Kalam Cosmological Argument popularized by Analytical Philosopher, Dr. William Lane Craig: “Basic Argument – Everything that has a beginning of its existence has a cause of its existence; The universe has a beginning of its existence; Therefore: The universe has a cause of its existence: Argument based on the impossibility of an actual infinite – An actual infinite cannot exist. An infinite temporal regress of events is an actual infinite. Therefore, an infinite temporal regress of events cannot exist: Argument based on the impossibility of the formation of an actual infinite by successive addition – A collection formed by successive addition cannot be an actual infinite. The temporal series of past events is a collection formed by successive addition. Therefore, the temporal series of past events cannot be actually infinite.” All of that made perfect logical sense to me. That just got me believing that God created the Universe, but not necessarily the Christian God. Then I studied the Bible. The problem with the Bible is that most people approach it as a book, written in contemporary English. First, it is not a book, it is a library; 66 books in the Protestant Bible and 73 books in the Catholic Bible. written in ancient Hebrew and first century Greek, with a smattering of Aramaic. It was written over a period of at least 1600 years by at least 40 different Authors, none of whom knew they were writing a Bible. The English translations are accurate, as far as they go, but they cannot be precise, as no translation from one languages to another is ever exact. And the context in which the books were written cannot be duplicated in modern times. However, what really convinced me was the number of prophecies of the Old Testament fulfilled in Jesus; 353!! The mathematical probability of that happening is 1 in 10 to the 87th power; that’s like winning the Lottery 15 times in a row buying one ticket each time, or tacking one atom, putting an X on it and throwing it back into the mix; And then randomly reaching in and picking that atom out of all the matter in the Universe. And today I’m watching Biblical prophecy being fulfilled in the Middle East right before my eyes. Plus I have the personal experience of answered prayer and the witness of many others for answered prayer and miracles. So my faith is well founded.

I find it disturbing that human rights organizations were criticizing his incarceration. He did admit to killing the American paramedic & just because he was a teenager should not absolve him of punishment for his actions. Despite the left wing media bleeding for him, Kadhr knew what he was doing. Sorry day for everyone when he is released on bail.

“Modern educated democratic societies determine what is acceptable today”

Without history, tradition and context that statement means nothing at all, you may have well said, squirrels determine what is acceptable today. Totally meaningless statement.

Ron, I don’t condone any form of murder by any form of government. You make it sound like religiosity is the only source of morality…. WRONG. Modern educated democratic societies determine what is acceptable today, not religious doctrines or sharia law. I will “give it a rest” when religions provide scientific empiricle evidence to support the highly unbelievable claims that they make. Where is the proof ?

Hey TERRY RUDDEN how’s that fundraising going to help pay the legal costs for your friend ‘Dr. Dawg’ who I understand lost his libel case against a website owner who claimed ‘Dr. Dawg’ was “a vocal supporter of the Taliban” for his assertion that Omar Khadr, as a Canadian citizen, who was 15 when he was involved in the death of a US military member in Afghanistan in 2002, should be treated legally as a child soldier?

Hold on here one minute! I remember back a while, on SNN – before the CRTC murdered them – they had an item or more about a Conservative politician who swore up and down that the ‘unrepentant Muslim terrorist’ Omar Khadr would never get out on bail (how can one access SNN’s Archives?) so how come he’s getting out on bail!?
Since he is getting out on bail, and I’ve predicted before that some good citizen will probably run him over if if he did get bail – or something – that he will likely meet with his end now that he’ll be free of the protections of PC! Uh, that’ll be Protective Custody, not Political Correctness…
So it’ll probably play out like, badump-badump… badump-badump…badump…badump…“Ooops, sorry, you OK?”. or Drive – Reverse – Drive…Call a lawyer…What goes around comes around.

Oh, and by the way, how come I have had to see out of the corner of my eye, an image on the right of my screen, while writing this comment, of what appears to be John Travolta kissing another male!? It is offensive.

Hey FREETHINKER, during the 20th century atheist governments ruled by Godless-regimes like Communists, Nazis and Fascists, accounted for the greatest atrocities and loss of human life ever, conservatively greater than 100 million brutally murdered. Here is a summary of the death counts from the various atheist regimes of the 20th Century:
Mao Ze-Dong (China, 1958-61 and 1966-69, Tibet 1949-50) 49-78,000,00 people murdered
Jozef Stalin (USSR 1932-39 only) 15,000,000 people murdered
Pol Pot (Cambodia, 1975-79) 1,700,000 people murdered
Kim II Sung (North Korea 1948-94) 1.6 million people murdered
Tito (Yugoslavia 1945-1987) 570,000 people murdered
Suharto (Communists 1967-66) 500,000 people murdered
Ante Pavelic (Croatia 1941-45) 359,000 people murdered
Ho Chi Min (Vietnam 1953-56) 200,000 people murdered
Vladimir Ilich Lenin (USSR, 1917-20) 30,000 people murdered
Adolf Hitler (Germany 1939-1945) 12,000,000 people murdered
That’s not counting the number of abortions worldwide since 1980; now numbering over 1 billion:
So as Maurice says, “give it a rest” with your repetitive sanctimonious statements condemning religion, while ignoring the “dangers of religious beliefs” clearly evident in your religion of atheism or humanism.

The CTV is reporting Khadr as a grievously wounded 15 year old, and “Canadians will see and meet a different Omar Khadr than the one wrongly portrayed by the Harper government,” They allow no comments on that story. In that “story” they never mention he was a terrorist killer who killed allied American soldiers. Many Afghan Taliban fighters are of that age!
I was sent to war with those terrorists and now the CBC and CTV are making HEROs out of them!!!!
