Paige Macpherson of the Alberta chapter of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation joined me to talk about Jim Prentice's shocking election-night decision to abandon his seat.
Not only did Prentice step down from his seat after winning it, but he also left taxpayers with a $250,000 bill for the subsequent by-election.
As Macpherson explains, however, that's nothing compared to what the ultimate price tag for a provincial election she calls unnecessary.
It's all part of Prentice's well-established disdain for democracy -- the same anti-democratic instinct we saw him display during the Wildrose defections.
