“Tank graveyard” in Israel “my favourite part of the trip”

Amanda HeadRebel Contributor

Everyone else on the Rebel team is now on their way home from Israel, but I decided to stop off in Morocco before heading back to California.

Today, I'll share what may be my favourite part of our trip:

A visit to what I'll call a "tank graveyard."

It's actually part of a memorial to Israeli tank unit soldiers, where we saw, climbed on, and learned about the 165 tanks on the grounds, and a lot about the history of Israel, too.

They are into their 4th version of the Israeli-designed and built tanks, constantly upgrading and improving, with the newest version, Mk5, to be released soon. Impressed by the attention paid to creating a safe space for the four tank inhabitants, unlike in US and Canada where universities create safe spaces for the powder puffs who might be offended by something that was said.
