"What a disgrace": Notley snubs U.S. Congressional delegation to Alberta oil sands

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

The U.S. purchases about 99% of Canada's oil exports. Sometimes American leaders from both parties visit the oil sands to see them for themselves.

A Congressional delegation visited last week, headed by Republican presidential candidate and powerful senator, Lindsay Graham.

Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall personally escorted them around, while lobbying for the Keystone XL pipeline.

When the delegation stopped off in Alberta, though, Premier Rachel Notley refused to meet with them.

What a disgrace.

It was only when the Wildrose opposition party embarrassed them that the NDP scrambled into action.

Do you need anymore proof that the NDP hates the oil sands?

Alberta’s NDP is using a fake "public survey" to push climate change policy.

Gee Jimmy Far Moron history proves you wrong. liberals maybe but I think Ontario will never vote NDP. The Libe4als are burning bridges here. They were the hand out party. New immigrants vote for them .i wonder why?

Here is Alberta we wait to hear something from our invisible premier and then out of the blue, we hear theres been another billion spent or somebody has not shown up to something they should have……

DAN MANCUSO , that would indeed be a scary thing. I live in Alberta and I couldnt believe people were so stupid as to vote in the NDP in a province like Alberta but even scarier would be a country run by the NDP….

Liza,

Can you appreciate that there are Canadians that feel differently than you do and like what the Liberals or The NDP have to offer – things that Harper doesn’t offer Canadians? Again, it’s irrelevant that you don’t like their policies and what they stand for – I just want to know if you can accept the fact that come election time – Canadians may want something that you don’t.

I hate to respond to you at all.
It is not fear of the unknown. It is because we know.

BRIAN CAMERON recall Notley and her government.
-NOT!
You and other Rebels need to relax – Notley and team have it under control and are more than capable of running our Province efficiently – The anger and stress being expressed here on the forum is classic fear of the unknown…
Rebels – The Notley Government have just barely moved into the Legislature.
The budget has not even come out yet…

Alberta Voters have passed the privilege of the keys of the Legislature to the NDP so they have 4 years to fix the mess the last Conservative Government left us in – In the meantime we are very fortunate in Alberta to have the Wild rose Party in opposition to make sure the Notley Government does thier job.

Here is a YouTube you might appreciate, I published the day the NDP majority government moved into the Alberta Legislature.

Dan,

Or maybe Canadians think that Harper has done a piss poor job and Canada – which is a socialist country, needs a change. Do you really expect Canadians to vote conservative until the end of time?

If there was mountains of evidence of voter fraud like you suggest – there would be repeated recounts and they wouldn’t concede so quickly. McCain and Romney lost because they lost.

Keep on being yourself Notely, your days are numbered. I’m sure Lindsey et al, are clear on the what has happened, and were suitably impressed with Brads tour. If Notely had agreed to meet, it would have been a smart move on her part for optics. I guess she is clear that we all have her number and there is no reason to pretend, also what was she going to say?
Keep it up Notely, just be you.

There are only one of two conclusions one can draw if the NDP ‘get elected’ – it’s terrifying to even write that.
One – Canadians are insane, or rather the ones who vote the NDP in are – like they did in ALBERTA and with the Wynne Organized Crime Group, er, Liberals in Ontario after all that…
Two – The election, all elections now, are fixed somehow. Look at the mountains of evidence of voter fraud in the last two Obama ‘elections’.
Maybe I’m naive and Canadians, er some Canadians, too many Canadians, are insane, but I think the fix is in somehow. That’s fixable, insanity, not so much…

Jimmy Da Moron we will see. When Harper won his majority the polls were looking bad. Kids use their moms computers.

Ya Albertans need to find a way to recall Notley and her government. There must be a way. Ontario to. What those premieres are doing is criminal and will (and has) ruin many peoples lives.

Don,

Why do you think we are desperate – the fact of the matter is that Harper may be out of a job in a few weeks. It’s actually looking pretty good for us.

Brian Cameron +1.

T. Black said: “Can everyone see what NDP delivers? Poverty as far as I can see!” I believe it was Winston Churchill who described Socialism as a form of Gov’t that spread ever increasing misery to an ever widening group of people!

Jimmy Da Silva said: “Rick, I am the left. I love America and work there as well.” Amazing! Then you are the exception if what you say is true. All the lefties I know practically froth at the mouth when the subject of the U.S. comes up in discussions!

Bill Elder said: “Such a tizzy over creating energy reserves by cleaning up a natural oil spill.” Indeed. Especially when one considers when the landscape has been returned to a natural state, how it blends with the flora and fauna of the areas that never were subject to oil contaminating the soil!

Rick,

Don’t be too overdramatic there with your “what a disgrace” comment.

Honestly – who gives a shit. And we are talking about Lindsay Graham – he’s an absolute joke. I actually PREFER that she didn’t give him the time of day.

BRIAN CAMERON you must have watched my citizen news coverage of Ezra’s Emergency Town-Hall meetings he staged in Edmonton – The only news coverage of it’s kind now available to the public.

I should have titled it – “Rod Loyola’s NDP cabinet” according to Ezra Levant’s speech.

No, and boy would they give a heroes welcome to Chavez from Venezuela. He is an NDP hero while the rest of the world thinks of him as a dictator and killer. But they love him. Some of Notelys cabinet are big followers of Chavez. It all makes me very sad, Alberta of all places for the NDP to happen.

Brinkman as usual spouting off socialist non sense. Go back to the Toronto Star Brinkman and advertise your left wing rag somewhere else you fool.

Someone from the Wildrose Party was set to meet them, then when NDP realized Canadians’ may learn about their snub of potential customers’ NDP sent someone in desperation to cover up!

The left hate Americans. Unless there is some dirty political trick they can steal, or get US dollars to subvert industry in this country, or interfere in our Federal Elections……….Sounds cynical, I know. But all too true………………!
