Alberta finance minister “isn’t focused on the deficit”

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Host | The Gunn Show

If you have been paying attention to the garbage fire of the NDPs fiscal management in Alberta, I’m sure you've heard about the five successive credit downgrades over the last two years.

Most recently, credit monitoring agency Standard and Poors downgraded the province’s credit at the end of May.

Now another bond rating agency, DBRS, is threatening to downgrade Alberta’s credit again and has changed  Alberta’s long-term financial outlook from stable to negative explaining that,

“The negative trend reflects that Alberta continues to erode its low debt advantage through sustained deficit spending,” ... “Moreover, the province has yet to provide a credible plan to restore balance.”

All these credit downgrades. All these warnings. The NDP must be reversing course. Right?

Wrong.

According to social worker turned chronically inept Finance Minister Joe Ceci, the NDP are staying the course.

“We’re all concerned about the size of the deficit, we want it to go in one direction and that is down,” ...“The focus we’re having, the attention we’re putting on oil prices and other things is daily so this is not something that we’re focused on.”

Ceci admits he isn't focused on the deficit. He’s the finance minister! It’s his job to be focused on the province's finances and to try to keep them as healthy as possible. Can you think of anyone who is as bad at their job in such a catastrophic and sweeping way as Joe Ceci?

The NDP cannot predict the price of oil well enough to budget appropriately for this year, no matter how furiously they focus on it.

And yet they want us to believe they are able to predict the price of oil seven years from now when Ceci promises us he will balance the budget.

What’s the definition of insanity again?

I wouldn’t vote for Ceci when I lived in Ward 9 because I thought he was in over his head.
Not as dumb as I look, eh?

Wasn’t there over 10,000 job losses in Alberta in June? No real mention of that from the government or the main stream media.

No real concern from the NDP or the MSM about the latest credit downgrade either.

Neither are they concerned about the deficit nor the debt.

Anyone who votes for the NDP in2019 need a lobotomy and to be institutionalized in a crazy house.

Neither is the BoC. And the BoC has joined every other institution as a politically hijacked, virtue signal for all the leftist governments in Canada. Gas where I live is $1.10. It was $1.25 TEN years ago, even before the provincial government started adding more gas/carbon taxes. MASSIVE deficits across the country. But they expect solid growth. And i’m a Chinese jet pilot.
The rate hike is nothing but a virtue signal for both Wynne and Trudeau heading into election seasons, it is disgusting and frightening to watch something this blatant. Under Harper we had rock solid finances and a steady economy while other western nations teetered and the BoC couldn’t WAIT to find any and all excuses to cut the rate, (because you know, the economy was so shitty under Harper). And we wonder why we had a housing boom (bubble). What a sick joke. See people, governments create wealth, not you, you didn’t build that.

I do too know someone as bad at his job as Ceci is, Sheila. I had to work with him when my employer put him on site with me.

He was fired after his second day.

Ceci, on the other hand, after his second year ….

Time after time voters keep getting sucked into electing the New Demolition Party. Unfortunately, nobody wakes up until it’s too late.
